News of the year 2016

19.12.2016

I have awfully been lazy to update our news in English. Since last update we have had excellent results in rally-obedience, obedience, working trials, agility, and shows. We have got also new Champions and our old Champions have received some new Champion titles. I think that it is wiser to update our news theme by theme.

Superin lapsetSiru ROPinaI have been a little bit lazy updating our news in English. Sorry for that. I will do all my previous updates now. It seems that summer is a very active period in dog sports. :) In the beginning of August Siru and Nancy (Nancy is completely out of coat) participated in three-days shows in Kuopio or better Siru participated every day and Nancy only on Friday and on Sunday. On Friday Siru went BOB and received her second CACIB. Nancy went 3rd Best Of Bitches. On Satuday Siru went 2nd Best of Bitches and received again a CACIB. Sunday was not our day but I was happy that Nancy got both 'Excellent' and 'QC', as she IS totally out of coat. Many thanks to my cousin for presenting Siru in the big ring (she was shortlisted) and on Saturday.

Lissun lapsetAlso other members from our Amazeme-team have got some very nice results. Super's and Ross' son, Koda went Best Junior of Breed on Saturday. He needs more training but when ready, he will surely gain more better positions and even CACs. His half-sister, Nova, has been doing just fantastic. In the first weekend of August she participated in two shows and went 3rd Best of Bitches in both days. Also Tikki was at semi-speciality show in Luumäki and went 4th Best of Dogs. Our beauty queen living in Sweden, Lace, instead, went BOB and received her second CACIB. Last weekend, Raina went 3rd Best of Bitches at international dog show in Oulu after a break of a year. Last week Raina and Kaija also competed in rally-obedience for the first time and got an excellent result. Huge congratulations to Mirkku, Lena, Kaija, Mari and Mirka for your excellent results!

Kaverikoira RolfYesterday at national dog show in Raisio two puppies from our Ice-litter were showed. Ukko went Best Puppy of Breed and his sister Särmä went BOS puppy. Their half aunt, Meg, instead, went BOB. The judge was amazed by her and thanked her owner for bringing Meg to his ring. She was the only girl out of 11 who got 'Excellent' and 'QC'. There were 10 bitches in open class so we can be really happy and proud of Meg's succesful day! Huge congratulations to Säde, Pekka, Jaana and Henna for your very nice day in rainy Raisio! We have got also some very nice results. I already told you about Raina's rally-obedience result but her son, Rolf, has passed our Finnish Kennel Assocation's therapy dog test so he can start to go to retirement home and nurseries. This is something very valuable and I appreciate a lot Rolf's owner's willigness to help people and cheer them up. I am so proud of you!

Liz ja A-SERTA-tiimiWe have some results from agility, rally-obedience and shows to be updated. In agility Liz and Jaana competed after a break of a year and did a clean run. They also got agility-CAC which means that in the future they will competed in III class. Huge huge congratulations to Jaana and talented Liz! Liz's half sister, Muusa and Heidi competed yesterday in open class of rally-obedience and got a passing score. Congratulations to Heidi and Muusa!

In shows ring this time were seen Eikka, another of our co-owned boys, Nemo and Meg. At international dog show in Pori Eikka won his class and went 2nd Best of Dogs. He also received a res-CAC. Also Nemo won his class and went 3rd Best of Dogs. The sire of our current litter, Laiko, went 4th Best of Dogs. But this is not all. One again, our lovely Meg went Best of Breed! She also received a CACIB. Congratulations to Tuija, Veera and Enni for your boys' successful day in Pori! Hugest congratulations to Henna for Meg's second CACIB! In the picture from left to right: Eikka, Nemo, Laiko and Meg.

21.7.2016

Hoppu ja A-SERTLast Sunday Mirkku was at national dog show in Orivesi with Mac and Nova. Mac won his class with Excellent and QC. He also went 2nd Best of Dogs and received a res-CAC. Also Nova won her class with Excellent and QC. She was not placed in Best of Bitches -competition but she DID receive a res-CAC. Congratulations to Mirkku for your dogs' success in Orivesi!

A couple of days later, Nova's sister, Hoppu and Mimmu competed in II class in agility for the last time, as they did their last clean run and received a CAC. Hugest congratulations to Mimmu and Hoppu!

11.7.2016

Meidän poppooWe have some very nice results from last two weekends that I have to update them here as well. :) A week ago at national dog show of Rantasalmi Siru went BOB and received her last CAC to obtain Finnish Champion -title. For those who do not know, in Finland, a Border Collie needs either to pass Finnish Character Test for dogs or to gain a working title (working trials/herding) to become a Finnish Champion. The test can be done only to dogs aged 2 to 6. Siru's great-grandmother, Nancy went 3rd Best of Bitches and Best Veteran of Breed at the same show. Our Croatian girl, Senna, got excellent and won her class but did not receive a "Qualified for Certificate (QC)". Nancy's son, Tikki, also won his class and went 2nd Best of Dogs receiving a res-CAC. The last CAC keeps waiting... Congratulations to Mirka and Petrik for Siru's last CAC! Congratulations also to Mari and Miika for Tikki's succesful day in Rantasalmi!

Meg roppinaLast weekend was again full of excellent results. At international dog show of Kokkola Siru did good job and went 2nd Best of Bitches. Nancy went 4th Best of Bitches. There were more than 15 bitches entered in the show and from our three girls, two were placed in Best of Bitches -competition to which 10 very nice girls participated. The next day Meg and Henna went BOB at international dog show of Oulu. Also Meg received her last CAC and her first CACIB. These girls are only 2 years old so we can be really proud of them. Hopefully we will have more Amazeme Finnish Champion in the end of this year. Congratulations to Henna for Meg's last CAC and first CACIB! Meg's photo has been taken by Tanja Mäkipää.

Last weekend on Satuday, five out of six litter mates of Ice-litter met in their birthplace in Pori. Puppies could play and do some agility as well. Jaana's friend, the godmother of Ice-litter, Linda Lehtiheimo, took also some nice photos of our little ones. It is a pity that I could not come but luckily I will see some of them this weekend as we will have Amazeme -meeting at Koira-Kehro where we will do some herding and agility as well. There will be more than 20 Amazeme-dogs! I can hardly wait to see all of you! <3

Nemon ruusukkeetRonjan sertNancy BIS VET2Some fantastic results to update in late. Let's start with some agility results. Kiia participated in team competition of Finnish Championship of Agility with Tiia (a friend of mine) and they did a clean run. You can see their course here. Also Tuija and Ronja succesfully competed in agility. They managed to their last clean run and got right to compete in 3rd class. Huge congratulations to Tuija and Ronja! Also her daughter in Sweden, Lace, has been doing great job in agility. Lace and Lena got their 5th clean run in jumping course and thus they received AGHD2-diploma. Congratulations to Lena and Lace for this title!

KR TuuriWe have had also some really nice results from shows as well. Nemo and Ronja were in Latvian Winner 2016 and both of them were res-LTW-16 receiving res-CACIB. On the next day, of these two, only Nemo was at national dog show in Estonia and this time Nemo was BOB and received his first Estoanian CAC. Congratulations to Veera and Tuija for your successful journey to Baltic countries. Last two weeks we have been in two shows of which one was held in Jämsä and another one in Alavus. In Jämsä we had Rosemary Easton (breeder of fantastic Danbeth-dogs in Australia) as a judge. She really felt in love with my oldest lady, Nancy. Nancy went BOB and Best Veteran of Breed. In the big ring of all veterans, she went 2nd Best of Veterans. I was so happy to show her as she was enjoying every moment in the ring. Siru went 3rd Best of Bitches and received a res-CAC. Two weeks later, Nancy's grandson, Miku was at international dog show of Rovaniemi under the same judge and he went 2nd Best of Dogs and received his first CAC. Congratulations to Sanna and Joel for Miku's first CAC! So in mid-June we were at national dog show in Alavus. I had four girls with me. Three of them were placed in Best of Bitches competition. The winner was this time, Super, who won the bitches and was BOS. In veteran class there were four old ladies of which one was my Nancy and one my Kiia. Kiia won the class and Nancy was the second. Kiia went also 2nd in Best of Bitches -competition. She was also Best Veteran of Breed. Siru went 3rd in Best of Bitches -competition and received a CAC. This was her 9th CAC in Finland!

We have received also some dna-test results: Amazeme Elderberry Valleys "Siru" CEA- ja TNS-normal, Amazeme Noble Sapphire "Meg" CEA-carrier, Amazeme Arctic Challenge "Eikka" and Amazeme Raspberry Hills "Lynn" CEA-carrier and TNS-normal.

HK2 TikkiRTK1 NemoLast week and weekend were again full of excellent results. Last Thursday, Tikki and Mari competed in seeking again, this time in open class. They did pretty good job and gained HK2 working title. Huge congratulations to Mari and Tikki! I am so proud of you two! We got some nice results in rally-obedience and agility, too. Nemo and Minna competed in a rally-obedience double competition. They gained a passing score from both competition and as they had already one passing score, this means that Nemo is now known as RTK1 Nemo. Huge congratulations to Minna and Nemo! You have done excellent work! Nemo's sister, Vinja and Heli did one more clean run in II class! My warmest congratulations to Heli and Vinja! This couple is amazing. They began competing in agility only last October and they have already two tickets to III class!

ROP SiruWe got also some nice results in two different shows. Last Satuday in a national dog show in Järvenpää, two youngsters from our A-litter did well. Weeti won his class and was 3rd Best of Males. His sister, Tyyne, also won her class and was 4th Best of Bitches. Congratulations to both Johanna and Tiina for your excellent day in Järvenpää! At an international dog show in Joensuu Tikki won his class and was 3rd Best of Males. He also received a res-CAC. Our girls did well too. Diva got excellent was placed 2nd in her class. Her sister, Siru, won her class and was Best of Bitches and Best of Breed. Siru received her 8th CAC and her 1st CACIB. I am so proud of our little girl! Siru's and Diva's grandma, Kiia, won her class and was 4th Best of Bitches. She was also Best Of Veterans. I am so proud of my old lady. We have been in three shows and in all shows she has been placed in Best of Bitches -competition. Congratulations to Mirka and Pete for Siru's excellent results! Congratulations to Mari for Tikki's res-CAC!

16.5.2016

JarrukatFirst of all I want to wish Happiest Seventh Birthday to my first Amazeme-litter! I am so proud of all of you! Amazeme-story started with you and hopefully continues for many many years... Special birthday wished to my dear Super! I love you so much! This weekend was again full of great results. Especially our boys were active and successful which makes me so happy. Super's son, Eikka, participated in his very first shows last weekend. Both days he won the males and, of course, received a CAC. On Satuday he was BOB and on Sunday BOS. Not a bad start for a young boy! Eikka's half sister from mother side, Myy, was 2nd Best of Bitches on Sunday. She also received a res-CAC. Congratulations to Eikka's co-owner, Tuija, for your great weekend! Congratulations to Henna for Myy's fourth res-CAC! The photo below from BOB competition was taken by Mirkku Huhtala.

ROP EikkaWe also got some working results. This time the real workers were two boys of ours. Rolf and Linda competed for the third time in rally obedience and got an excellent result. Rolf is now known as RTK1 Rolf. :) Also another result came from rally obedience where Nemo and Minna competed for the first time getting a passing score. Congratulations also to Linda and Minna for your working results in rally obedience! Great job! The photo from BOB ring was taken by Mirkku Huhtala.

TVA SuperBut this is not all. Super, herself, and I competed a week ago in the highest class of obedience and finally got last 1st prize for Obedience Champion -title. I have now three Finnish Obedience Champion girls at home. More than a week ago also Hannele and Lynn competed in obedience. They got 1st prize in Open class. Huge congratulations to Hanni for Lynn's great great result!

More than a week ago we also received great news about Nemo who has passed Rescue Dog Searching Test. One step closer to become an official SAR dog. Congratulations to Juha! A week ago, on Mothers' Day, I competed with Kiia in agility. We got 10 from both courses but we certainly enjoyed our courses!

ER HelsinkiWe have been in shows too. On Ascension Day me and my cousin travelled to Helsinki for a show. We had Senna, Siru, Kiia and Nancy with us. There were also Taiger, Jäbä, Tyyne and Nana. Taiger got 'Very good' and won his class. But luckily, Jäbä did better and won the males. He also received his first CAC! Our junior girls, Senna and Tyyne, got both 'Excellent'. Tyyne won the class and received also a QC. Siru won her class and received a QC. Nana, this time almost without a coat, got 'Excellent' and won her class. My oldies got both 'Excellent'. Nancy won their class and Kiia was the second. They both got a QC. Nancy was placed the first position in the Best of Bitches competition. Siru was the second and received her seventh CAC. Tyyne was 3rd Best of Bitches and got a res-CAC. Kiia was 4th Best of Bitches. What a happy day! Nancy won Best of Breed -competition. She was shortlisted in Best Veteran of Show but finally not placed. Anyway, I could have not been happier about our results. Congratulations to Pekka and Säde for Jäbä's first CAC! Congratulations to Tiina for excellent start with Tyyne! Thank you all for such a nice day together and for your help! The same week on Sunday we got some nice results from a CAC show in Harjavalta where Myy was 2nd Best of Bitches and received a res-CAC. Our young lady, Lynn was 3rd Best of Bitches. Congratulations to Henna and Hanni for your very nice day in Harjavalta!

4.5.2016

Rilla ja ruusukkeetLong time no seen but finally we have some fantastic news to share with. Last weekend there was a CACIB show in Tampere to which 13 dogs and 25 bitches had been entered (although in both sexes there were some absent). From our team we had 2 boys, Mac and Nemo, and 7 girls. The cousins, Siru and Lynn were presented in intermediate class. Three sisters out of our F-litter, Nova, Rilla and Myy were presented in Open class. Ronja participated in Champion class, and my two old ladies, Kiia and her mum, Nancy, in Veteran class. Both of our boys got excellent, and Mac was placed the second in his class with QC (qualified for CAC). In Intermediate class there were eight girls. Siru and Lynn got both 'Excellent'. Siru was placed the first with QC and Lynn the second. This one our first win! Also all our girls in open class got 'Excellent' but what did Rilla? She won a very strong class, so she was our second class winner! But this is not all. Also Ronja got excellent with QC and won her class. A third class winner from our team! In Veteran class there were five old ladies. All got excellent but my girls won the class and were the only one receiving also QC. Nancy was the first and Kiia the second. Unbelievable! In Winners Bitch competition Rilla was the first (she also received a CAC and a CACIB), my Nancy was the second, her daughter, Ronja, was the third (she received res-CACIB) and another daughter of Nancy, Kiia, was the fourth. Siru was placed 5th and she received a res-CAC. Rilla finished BOS in the final competition but Nancy won Best Veteran of Breed -title. Also our group finished in first position in Best Breeder -competition. What a day! I was (and still I am) overwhelmed by our success! Many thanks to active owners and special thanks to Jaana for presenting Nancy and to Heidi for presenting Kiia in Best of Bitches -competition. Congratulations to Hanni for Rilla's second CAC and first CACIB!

Siru KV TampereellaThen some smaller but equally important news. Our young lady, Siru (Amazeme Elderberry Valleys) (Siru is in the picture on the right. Photo has been taken by Johanna Heinijoki at Tampere show) did rather well in Best Show Border Collies of The Year 2015 -competition organised by Finnish Border Collies and Australian Kelpies Club. She finished in second position with 99 points whereas the Winner, a Champion class male, won the competition with 104 points. We could say that last year Siru was the most successful Border Collie bitch in Finland, right? I am extremely proud of this young girl, as she became 9 months old only in March and the competition is rather hard especially among the girls. Last year Siru was placed Best of Breed three times. She was also placed six times in Best of Bitches -competitions. In addition, she received 6 CACs and 3 res-CACs. The most beautiful results of hers was 4th place in our speciality show to which over 80 bitches of great quality had been entered. Congratulations to Mirka and Pete for the successful year of our little princess!

Then last but not least. My little girl, Brie has been genetically tested CEA normal. I am pleased with this result!

21.3.2016

I have been extremely busy with my puppies but now they have moved to their new homes, so I have more time to update my pages. Two weeks ago Meg, Myy and Henna were in Lithuania for two CACIB shows. Both days Meg won her class, received a CAC and was res-CACIB bitch. Myy won her class on Sunday and received a CAC. Congratulations to Henna for your nice results in Vilnius! Last Satuday, Lynn was the 4th best of bitches in Seinäjoki. Congratulations to Hanni for such a nice result!

Lace and Lena, instead, competed in agility and did their second clean run in II class. Congratulations to Lena and Lace for your excellent results! I also competed in obedience with Super with new rules. We did rather good job and got 3rd prize. Although we did not manage to obtain 1st prize, I was pretty satisfied with our result.

Elli ja VASERTVinjan palkintoA couple of weeks ago, Super's daughter, Elli was shown for the first time. She won her class and was 2nd best of bitches. She also received a res-CAC. Congratulations to Jenni for your nice day in Tuusniemi! The same day, Vinja and Heli competed once again in agility and did their first clean run in II class. Congratulations to Heli for your excellent results in agility!

In February, Freya and Nina competed in agility and did their first clean run in II class. We should remember that they just got the right to compete in II class! In February, also Freya's full sister, Hoppu and Mimmu did one more clean run in II class. Congratulations to Mimmu and Hoppu for your nice results in agility! We have got also some nice results in rally obedience. For example, Ralli and Lilja got their third passing score in beginner's class. This means that they obtained their first "working title", RTK1. Congratulations to Nina and Lilja for your excellent results in agility or rally obedience!

Hoppu ja MimmuFreya ja NinaRolf ja LindaIn February there was Finnish Championship competition of team skiing to which Rolf and Linda participated. They were the third best and won the silver medal. I could not be more proud of this couple. Last month, we got also some nice results in rally obedience, i.e. Muusa and Heidi competed in rally obedience and a passing score with 99 points out of 100. Congratulations to Heidi and Muusa for your excellent result in rally obedience! With such talented and active owners, I hope to have more time to update my pages. Otherwise it will take some much time to catch up our Amazeme news! :)

31.1.2016

The results of this weekend came from rally-obedience and agility. This time the "result makers" were Luka and Freya. Luka and Johanna competed for the first time in rally obedience and got a passing score from their very first course. They got 99 points out of 100. Congratulations to Johanna and Luka for your excellent start in rally obedience! Freya and Nina competed today in agility and did a really fast clean run winning their class. One more to go to the second class! Congratulations to Nina and Freya for your excellent result! Once again I can be so proud and happy about my greatly working Amazeme-dogs and their fantastic owners!

24.1.2016

Vinja and Heli took care of the results for this week. This multitalented couple competed in agility in Kuopio yesterday and did a really fast clean run. As this was their third clean run, they got the right to compete in the second class. They were placed the second amongst 16 dogs. Huge congratulations to Heli and Vinja for a great start of the year 2016!

Hilla took care of another great "result", as she gave birth to four girls and one boy on 19 January. You can read more about our B-litter from their own page.

18.1.2016

Yesterday there was a semi-speciality show (FCI groups 1 & 2) in Lahti to which two Amazeme dogs participated. Both of them did rather good job. Rolf was placed 3rd Best of Dogs amongst 15 dogs. He also received a CAC. This is his second one for the Finnish Champion title. Myy won a very strong and big open class and was placed the second best of bitches. Myy received a res-CAC. There were 20 bitches entered in the show so we must be very pleased with these results. BOB and Best Veteran of Breed was the sire of our N-litter, Tico. Congratulations to Linda, Henna and especially to Reijo for your very successful day in Lahti!

A week ago, instead, Rolf and Linda competed for the second time in rally obedience and got a passing score with 99 points out of 100. They were placed the second out of 27 dogs in the competition. Also Nana and Emmi competed for the first time ever in rally obedience and got a passing score. Well done! Congratulations to both of you!

About 10 days ago, on 7 January, a beautiful Ice-litter was born. There are three boys and three girls. You can read and see more photos on their own blog, although it is written only in Finnish.

The news of the year 2015

13.12.2015

Although I have not updated News-page, it does not mean that there have not been any news... It means that I have only been lazy. ;) We have had four shows in last four weeks. We have also got the health results of Lynn and an eye test update of Ralli. Lynn has A/A hips, 0/0 elbows, 0/0 kness, LTV0 and shoulders free of OCD. She is a perfectly healthy girl. Also Ralli's eyes were clean. Congratulations to Hannele and Lilja for excellent health results! During these last weeks, we did some progress in our breeding plans. The dam of our Ice-litter, Liz, had an ultra sound and she is definitely expecting puppies. Also our B-litter might be on its way... Keeping still our fingers crossed for both of my ladies. Hilla is going to have an ultra sound check on 18 December 2015.

A couple of weeks ago we have two international shows here in Jyväskylä, and a week ago we have Helsinki Winner 2015 and Finnish Winner 2015 shows in Helsinki. From our team, the most successful dogs this time were Kiia, Nemo, Ronja and Siru. The second day in Jyväskylä Siru won her class and received a res-CAC. A week ago, in Helsinki, Kiia won a strong veteran class and gained HeVW-15 title. Nemo won his class and was the 2nd Best of Males. Ronja, instead, was the second best of champion class but she also was the second best of females. Both of them received a res-CACIB. Congratulations to Veera and Tuija for your excellent results in both days! On Sunday, Kiia was the second in veteran class. She was doing a great job with Mirkku. Thank you Mirkku for presenting so well my little Kiia.

15.11.2015

We have got some fantastic results in agility from our T-litter. A week ago Lace and Lena did their third clean run in agility course and now they have right to compete in II class in both agility and jumping courses. Her sister, Vinja and Heli got their second clean run yesterday winning their class. One more to go to II class. Congratulations to Lena and Heli! I am so proud of you! We got also some nice result in rally obedience. Today Heidi and Muusa got 88 points out of 100. As this was their third passed course, Muusa is now known as RTK1 Muusa. Congratulations to Heidi and Muusa for a new title!

I, instead, have been busy with my girls. I came back from Germany this Monday. I spent four wonderful days at Simaro house enjoying of every moment. Thank you Silvia and Roland for your great hospitality! Our Liz (Finnish pages) was mated to absolutely gorgeous Cruz. There are no words to tell how grateful I am for Silvia and Roland about this wonderful opportunity! But this is not all. I travelled back home with the most sweetest and so handsome boy, Bo. I am wishing to mate Hilla with Bo. You can read about my breeding plans at Puppies-page. Lace's photo (on the left) has been taken by Emilie Ebler and that of Vinja (on the right) by Heli Lemmetty.

3.11.2015

Last weekend we got some new results from obedience, rally obedience and agility. All three results were made by our fantastic boys, Rolf, Luka, and Capo. Rolf and Linda competed for the first time in rally obedience and received 95 points out of 100. Rolf's brother, Luka, and Johanna, instead, competed for the first time in obedience and received 159 points out of 200. Lotta and Capo once again ran a clean run in II class and won their class. This was their second clean run in II class. One more to go to III class! Congratulations to Linda and Johanna for a very nice start in rally obedience and obedience! Huge congratulations to Lotta and Capo for your successful day in Pietarsaari! I am so proud of all of you! You have done excellent work!

More than a couple of weeks ago me and Kiia competed in agility running four courses which were quite challening but I liked them a lot. We got three results (twice 5 and once 10). I was extremely satisfied with our work together! A day after, Kiia's and Tico's son, Ralli and Lilja competed in rally obedience and they passed the course with 79 points out of 100. This was their second result in novice class. One more to go to the open class! Congratulations to Lilja and Ralli! You have been doing excellent job!

More than a week ago we were at international dog show in Seinäjoki with Super and Siru. Also Super's daughter, Nova and Mac participated. They both got this time 'VG' but Super was the second best of bitches and received res-CACIB. Siru, instead, won intermediate class and was the fourth best of bitches with res-CAC. They were 15 bitches entered so I am quite happy to have two Amazeme girls out of three were placed in Best of Bitches -competition.

6.10.2015

I have been awfully busy and have had no time for updating my pages. I am sorry for that. It seems that Amazeme-team members have been lately awfully busy too. More than a week ago, Theba and Sara competed once again in working trial. This time in the highest class of seeking. They got a wonderful result with 267 points out of 300 and a new title, HK3. Congratulations to this multi talented couple, Sara and Theba! I am extremely proud of you.

I am also proud of one of our youngsters, i.e. ten days ago Lynn and Hannele competed for the first time in obedience and got 1st prize with 171 points out of 200 although they got 0 points from distance control. Although she is only 15 months old, she was able to show her best throughout the competition. Huge congratulations to Hannele and Lynn! You have done excellent work!

Last week we got three more health results of which one was a huge and unfortunate suprise for us. Our sweet co-owned boy's, Mac's, hips are D/D. Fortunately everything is okay in the front and in spinal, so he does not need to give up his activities. Although he cannot be a brood dog, he continues normally his life with Mirkku, Olli and Nova. The last "puppy" from our E-litter, Diva, has been examined as well. Diva has B/B hips and her elbows are 0/0. We are still waiting her LTV-result. In our E-litter we got three A/A-hips, two B/B hips and once C/B-hips. All six have 0/0 elbows. Five out of six were examined also in shoulders and all of them have them OCD free. Last week we also received the results of Meg. She has A/A hips, 0/0 elbows and shoulders free of OCD. Huge congratulations to Sanna and Henna for healthy girls! I have totally forgot to mention that our wonderful girl, Hilla, had an eye test and gonioskopy. Both tests were clear so our plans can continue. Congratulations to Laura (and me!) for a healthy girl!

Last weekend we got some new, fantastic show results. On Saturday there was a semi-speciality show in Tuulos to which Sokka participated. He was the second best of males and won res-CAC. His cousin, Myy, instead, was Best of Opposite Sex winning also a CAC, of course. This was the second CAC to Myy. Huge congratulations to Suvi and Henna for your excellent day in Tuulos!

15.9.2015

In a week we have some new results from working trials and shows. We have received also some new health results. Let's start with working trial results. Super's twin, Theba and Sara competed last week in the highest class of searching (this working trial includes both tracking and seeking but also retrieving an object and searching a small utility object in a forest) and they got the first prize. To become Working Trial Champion, a dog needs to get three first prizes in the highest class. Congratulations to Sara and Theba for an excellent result! I am so proud of you two!

Today, instead, we got new health results of our E-litter. Jäbä has B/B hips and 0/0 elbows. Also the shoulders are OCD free. Congratulations to Säde and Pekka for a healthy boy!

Yesterday another girl from our F-litter, Nova, competed for the first time in agility and ran two very nice courses. Congratulations to Olli, Mirkku and Nova for nice results!

On Sunday we were at group show Muurame to which 29 dogs participated. Six dogs from our team participated. Our gorgeous, big teddy bear, Taiger got 'Very good' with a very nice judgement. His sister, Nana, who was completely out of coat, got also 'Very good' with a nice judgement. Our youngster, Rolf won junior class with excellent and received also 'Qualified for CAC'. He was also 3rd Best of Males. Two girls from our F-litter, Hoppu and Nova got both 'Excellent'. Nova was placed the second in open class (10 bitches entered) and she received also 'Qualified for CAC'. Her mother, Super (totally out of coat after puppies), got 'Excellent' and was the second in the working class. She also received 'Qualified for CAC'. Her half sister, Kiia won champion class with 'Excellent' and was 3rd Best of Bitches. Their mother, Nancy was 2nd in veteran class with excellent and was qualified for certificate as well. I am so happy of these results. Congratulations to Linda for Rolf's excellent placement!

A day before, three dogs from out team participated in national show Porvoo to which almost 30 dogs were entered. Zinna received 'Very good'. She was a little bit too proud of her tail. :) Sokka was the only boy from our team but he did rather good job. He won open class with 'Excellent' and received also 'Qualified for Certificate'. As four first males could not receive res-CAC, Sokka got it. But this is not all. Our beauty queen, Liz charmed the judge and in the end she was Best of Breed. She got a very nice critics saying that:"Extremely beautiful, very typical bordercollie bitch, Everything fits together like a hand in a glove. Wonderful head and expression. Perfect bone structure. Nice angulations. She has movement that standard asks for, effective and low. Bitch of high class". I am so proud of this little girl! Congratulations to Jaana and Suvi for excellent results at national show of Porvoo! Best of Opposite Sex was gorgeous Noblefamily's River Of Dreams "Noe". Congratulations to Nina for Noe's successful day in Porvoo!

7.9.2015

Last Thursday the one and only, the real queen, Nancy celebrated her 12th birthday with her family. Each invited got her own cake with a sausage. I kept a speech and sang to her. She appreciated the most the cake. ;) Happy birthday, my dear 12-years-old lady!

On Saturday we competed with Kiia in tracking with poor results. After the first stick, Kiia switched to a wrong track and we got lost. :P As the weather was poor, I decided to give up and go back home right away. Let's see if this was our last trial in tracking. We might be concentred more in agility and rally obedience in the future. On Sunday we went to Pieksämäki for obedience training but as I got a stomach flu, I did not have much energy to work with my girls. However, I manage to take new photos of my co-owned girl, Senna and Super's and Ross' son, Koda. It was so nice to see you both! Thank you for coming! Fortunately we got also some very nice news as Mimmu and Hoppu competed for the first time in the second class in agility and got a clean run winning the class. Congratulations to Mimmu and Hoppu for excellent course! Hoppu's photo has been taken by Milma Luukkonen.

This is not all. Henna's girls, Myy (Hoppu's sister) and Meg, got very nice results at national show of Vantaa under a quite strick judge. Myy got excellent and was placed the second in open class. Meg, instead, won junior class with excellent and was qualified for certificate. She was placed the second best of bitches and received one more CAC. Congratulations to Henna!

Last week we got some new health results which pleased us a lot. Lenni has A/A hips, 0/0 elbows, shoulders OCD free and his lumbosacral transitional vertebra was LTV0. His back was also otherwise ok. Congratulations to Saila for a healthy boy!

31.8.2015

Although the past weekend was not so active, we got some nice results. On Saturday at international dog show Janakkala three girls participated from our team to the show. Myy got 'Very good' in open class and was the third. Her "little sister", Meg was the second best in junior class with 'Excellent'. Meg also received 'QC' (Qualified for Certificate). Siru, instead, won the class and was the third best of bitches. Siru also received res-CAC. Congratulations to Henna and Mirka for your nice day in Janakkala!

The next day Muusa and Heidi competed in rally obedience and passed the course. They got 93 points out of 100. Congratulations to Heidi and Muusa! Very well done!

26.8.2015

Last two weekends have been fantastic. On 16 August Capo and Lotta competed once again succesfully in agility and did their third clean run in I class which means that they have now right to compete in II class. Huge congratulations to Lotta and Capo! You have done some excellent work! Last weekend Amazeme-dogs were seen in shows, agility and rally obedience with some very nice results. Nova was the second best of bitches at national show Kouvola. Nova also received a res-CAC which was the fifth to her. She surely will receive "the big qualifying certificate" one day! My co-owned girl, the future dam of our B-litter, Hilla, won the champion class and was the third best of bitches. Huge congratulations for both Mirkku and Laura!

The next day, two sisters of Nova got excellent results as well as Lova competed in rally obedience and Hoppu in agility. Lova and Jonna passed the course and as this one the third course passed, Lova gained RTK1-title. Congratulations to Jonna and Lova for a new title! Hoppu and Mimmu participated in same competition as me. They did a clean run at the first course which means that Hoppu got the right to compete in II class. I competed with our sheltie, Nasta and we did two very nice runs but no results this time. However, I am very pleased with our courses as we have been training only 10 months now and she was doing great job! Huge congratulations to Mimmu and Hoppu for your agility CAC!

In Tallinn, Estonia, instead, there was this Baltic Winner 2015 -show last weekend. Border Collies were judged by Gerard Jipping, The Netherlands on Sunday. The judge liked our Diva a lot and at the end she was Best of Opposite Sex. She also received J-CAC and BALTJW-15 -title. So well done, Sanna and Diva! Me and Kiia competed in agility after a break of 6 months. We do not compete very often, I have to say. This was our second competition this year and last year we did not compete at all. However, Kiia did excellent work and we got a clean run at the second course. We also obtained our first agility CAC. She might get too old to collect three of them but I can be honestly proud of my girl.

12.8.2015

Last weekend was full of action, as me and my cousin travelled on Saturday morning first to Nokia semi speciality show to which Mac, Nemo, Meg, Nana, Super, Nova, Myy and Nancy participated. All of them got 'Excellent'. We also won in every class in which we participated. Mac won junior class males but did not receive this time QC. Nemo won open class males but as he was the only one who received QC, he was also Best of Dogs and received his last CAC for Finnish Champion -title. He still needs to either pass Finnish Character Test or got a result from a working trial to complete his title. Huge congratulations to Veera and to his another co-owner Anita!

There was a tough competition between our girls. Four of our girls out of six won their class with both Excellent and QC. Also Nova received QC. As just our girls were those who received QC, the competition of Best of Bitches was between our girls. Nova was 4th Best of Bitches, her mother, Super, being 3rd Best of Bitches. Nova's cousin, Nana, was 2nd Best of Bitches. Nana also received her third res-CAC. And the winner was our young, blue girl, Meg, the daughter of Kiia and Tico. Meg of course received a CAC as well and was selected BOB. Our grand old lady, Nancy, was Best Veteran of Breed. Our group was also Best Breeder of Breed. I have to say that I could not expect such great success at Nokia semi speciality show. Huge congratulations to Henna, Elina and Mirkku for your great results! Speciality thanks to Mirkku for taking care of my ladies, Super and Nancy, during my journey to Budapest.

On my way to Helsinki-Vantaa airport, I got more nice news from international dog show in Joensuu. Another daughter of Kiia, Raina, was Best of Bitches and received her second CACIB. She was also Best of Opposite Sex. But this is not all. The daughter of Raina's sister, Diva, won junior class with Excellent and QC and was 3rd Best of Bitches. She also received a res-CAC. In addition, Diva was BOB Junior. Diva was at Joensuu national show also the next day repeating her position. Congratulations to Kaija and Sanna for your very nice day/weekend in Joensuu! I travelled to Budapest where I met a couple of friends with their awesome dogs. I was so happy to be able to meet these fantastic persons and their gorgeous boys. Thank you, Szilvia, Hajni and Tìmea for your generosity! I enjoyed a lot our evening together in the night of Budapest. The next day I travelled back home but not alone. I had with me a fantastic little girl, Senna (Heaven's Dust Of Bordertreowe). Senna travelled from Croatia via Budapest to Finland to complete our team. I will make pages to this wonderful girl as soon as I get some time to sit down. Thank you Tia and Aleksandra for this very promising girl! I already love her to bits!

Last weekend we got a new Finnish Champion as Hilla was BOB in international show at Mikkeli. She did not receive only the last qualifying CAC but also her first CACIB. Huge congratulations to Laura and big thanks to the owners of wonderful Rane. Without your co-operation, I could not have this beautiful litter out of Kiia.

On Sunday we got some nice news from Hattula where Jonna and Lova competed in rally obedience. They got amazing 98 points out of 100. So well done! Congratulations to Jonna and Lova!

We have now received some more health results from our E- and R-litters. Some results were not so good as we would have hoped but we are lucky enough that there is nothing broken and these dogs can live a healthy and long life. Last Saturday I competed with Kiia in obedience and finally we got our last first result for Finnish Obedience Champion title. I have to admit that this was not easy but we did it. I am extremely happy that we finally succeeded to show that what we are able to do!

The very same day our young beauty, Siru did it again! She was shown in an international show in Helsinki (with 28 entries) and she was placed as Best Of Breed. Happy Birthday to Theba, Ronja, Super, Tuittu, Lara and Ekku!

10.5.2015

My beloved Super got puppies yesterday. The proud sire of the litter is the wonder boy Ross. Three girls and five boys were naturally born. All babies and mum are doing just great. Yesterday was a lucky day in other ways too. Mirkku travelled to Harjavalta for a small dog show with Mac and Nova. Last week was full of action and really nice results. Last Monday I competed with Nancy and Kiia in rally obedience and with both girls of mine we got an accepted result. As this was Nancy's third result in rally obedience, she got one more title RTK1 in the front of her name. Also one of our youngsters, Ralli and Lilja competed in the same competition and got an excellent result with 95 points out of 100. So we were all together - three generations of rally obedience amateurs. Congratulations to Lilja for your beautiful course! Last Wednesday Jaana and Liz competed again in II class in agility and did a fantastic clean run. They also received their first CAC in II class. Two more to go and they will compete in the highest class of agility! Well done, girls! I am so proud of you! Last Saturday I competed with Kiia in obedience. We got 254 points out of 320. Two points were missing for the first prize. She was doing very nice jobs but unfortunately this time we were not lucky and did not get our last result to become Obedience Champion. Hopefully we are more lucky next time. The very same day in Tampere there was an international dog show where seven members from our team participated. We got some very nice results. Five out of seven got 'Excellent' and two got 'Very good'. Of these five Siru won her class and Lynn was the second. Meg got 'Very good' as her brother Ralli. Lynn's brother, Rolf was the second in junior class with 'Excellent'. Their mother, Raina competed for the first time in Champion class and was the second with 'Excellent'. Also Myy got 'Excellent' and was the second in Open class. Our breeder group was the best. Thank you so much for all of you being so active and presenting our group! Happy to get so many nice results! On Sunday, Liz's brother, Capo and Lotta competed in agility and did a clean run. Also in Sweden Lace and Lena competed in agility and got their last clean run in jumping class which means that they have now the right to compete in the second class of jumping class. Huge congratulations to Lotta and Lena! Well done! So proud and happy! The first photo of Capo has been taken by Lotta Lindberg. The second photo of rally obedience competitors has been taken by Jenny Rautiainen. The third photo of Lace has been taken by Stefan Borg.

Huge congratulations to Henna for Meg's successful day in Stockholm! This weekend, instead, we had five Amazeme dogs in Finnish Character Test for dogs. Four of them passed it which made me so happy. They were Taiger and her sister Nana, their cousin Nova and their "aunt's" daughter, Hilla.

Five kids out of our S-litter have been scored for hips and elbows and all of them have A/A hips and 0/0 elbows. Liz and Hilla have also OCD free shoulders. Viime päivät ovat olleet yhtä huisketta. Reilu viikko sitten matkasimme SBCAKin erikoisnäyttelyyn Helsinkiin. Kotiintuomisiksi ei meillä ollut EH:ta kummempaa. Kasvateistani kehässä nähtiin myös Mökö ja Sokka. Molemmat saivat erinomaiset. Varsin hienosti tehty mummokoiralta. Saimme myös hienoja uutisia Ruotsin maalta. Lacen lonkat tulivat A/A:n takaisin ja kyynärät 0/0.

24.7.2014

The parents of our N-litter competed both in obedience with great results. Tico got the first result in the third class. He also won his class and received Prize of Honour. On Thursday Lara got the first prize in open class of obedience. This was her second first prize. One more to go for title. Congratulations to Jenni! Me and my dear Super, did not so great job. We need more training and experience to achieve our goal. Luckily, other team members do excellent job. Lately there have been lots of changes and excitement in our life. First of all, we were obliged to change our plans for A-litter because Raina's heat did not progress in a normal way. Instead of risking too much, we decided to try with a gorgeous Finnish boy full of action and great will to please. Raina has been mated now three times and we will see if we can continue mating tomorrow. We will see if we get her to expect puppies in this way or not. Keeping our fingers crossed. I want to thank Szilvia for understanding this really difficult situation and promising me your wonderful Grog for another girl of mine.

Yesterday we got excellent news from Oulu where Jaana and Tarmo competed in obedience and obtained an excellent result with 189 points out of 200. The judge gave them also the Prize Of Honour. Kiia was the second best of bitches and received res-CACIB. On Sunday Kiia was the Best of Bitches and also BOB. She received her fifth CACIB. Also she became BALT & LT CH. Her new "boyfriend", Tico (Maccabee Sound Of Soul), won the dogs and was BOS. He also became LT CH and got his third CACIB. He can now apply for C.I.B. We could not have done better job. I am so happy and proud of my girls.

At the same time in Finland, my girls' daughters were doing excellent work in show rings. In a group show in Seinäjoki Kiia's and Rane's daughter, Liz, won junior class with 'Excellent' and 'QC'. Two girls from F-litter, Nova and Rilla also got 'Excellent' with QC. Rilla was the second in intermediate class and Nova was the first. Nova was also the fourth best of bitches. Huge congratulations to Jaana, Hannele and Mirkku for such nice results!

First of all I want to wish Happy Birthday to our 1-year-old T-litter! We had a great great weekend full of friends, action, and fun time. On Saturday we competed for the first time in rally obedience with Nancy and we got 95 points out of 100. On Sunday I made some severe mistakes which cost us too much. On Saturday we also had international dog show in Jyväskylä. Hoppu, Oiva and Super got the best results in our team. Hoppu got excellent and was the third in intermediate class. Also Oiva got excellent and was the third in champion class. Super won her class with excellent and was 4th Best of Bitches. Our youngsters did not get so great results but were showing themselves very nicely. Congratulations to Milma and Leila for excellent results! Thank you to all of you for a very nice day together!

First of all I want to thank this wonderful team (in the photo) for last year. We have been training together since last year and lots of progress has been made. In the picture, you can hopefully see six future Finnish Obedience Champions. Besides training, this weekend brought also some nice news. Nina and Freya competed for the third time in obedience and also this time they got the first prize with 185 points out of 200. They also received the prize of honour. I am so proud of this couple. They are doing excellent work. As I have been quite busy with my website, I did not have time to share excellent news from the weekend two weeks ago. In Lahti, Super's daughter, Myy was the second best of bitches and received her first CAC. The very same day, in international dog show in Kajaani, her mum, Super was Best Of Opposite Sex and received a CACIB. Super lost BOB title to Oiva's and Ruska's son, Rönni (Pikkupaimenen Time After Time). The daddy himself won Champion class and was the second best of dogs. He also received a CACIB. Oiva's sister, Raina was the third best of bitches and received her sixth res-CAC. So we did have an excellent day with lots of success and especially good time with friends. Thank you all for sharing these moments with us!

1.1.2014

New Year 2014It's time to take a look back over the last year and think about the achievements which were not few. Last year we got two beautiful litters. The first one, S-litter, was born in January and the second one, T-litter, in February. Many of us got excellent results in obedience about which I am extremely happy. In working trials, Super got one title and that was in seeking. I am so proud of my "little monster". I competed with my youngsters in the highest class of obedience with some nice results. Still the biggest achievement has not yet completed. In shows we had some very nice results. Super was once 4th Best in Group and her daughter, Rilla, got CAC. Kiia's two daughters, Raina and Liz, got also CAC. We also received four new titles. Nancy became Latvian Champion and Baltic Champion in June when she was 9 years and 9 months old. Also Super and Oiva (Amazeme Cosmic Time) became Latvian Champion. Oiva is the fourth Amazeme champion. But this is not all. Mari and Tikki (Amazeme Millennium Story) won Finnish Australian Kelpies and Border Collies club's championship in team skiing and Super's daughter, Freya (Amazeme February Stars) and Nina in obedience in beginner's class.

Last year we also got very nice health results of F-litter. All girls got healthy elbows, hips, shoulders and knees. Above all, the most important achievement has been the feedback that I have received from the owners. They are happy about their own little dogs and enjoying of training with them in agility, obedience, tracking, seeking, herding or what so ever. My happiness is the happiness of my little ones and their owners. I want to thank all of you for excellent year together! I wish this year was even more successful.

Lova got 'Very good' and was the third in her class. Myy got 'Excellent' and won her class. Her half sister, Kiia, was shown totally out of coat in champion class. She received 'Excellent' and was the second in her class.

Meantime Super's daughter, Nova (A. Faithful Soul), competedd for the first time in obedience and they got right away the first prize with 183 points out of 200. They also obtained Prize of Honour. Lova and Jonna got 171 points out of 200 and Rilla and Hannele 187 points out of 200. Rilla also received Prize of Honour and won her class. As this was her third first prize in open class, she can now use TK2 title in the front of her name. Congratulations to all of you! It is nice to see that we do not have only beauty but also brains. :)

21.10.2013

Last weekend we were quite busy because on Saturday Super, Oiva, my cousin and me participated in tracking trial. This time we got no result but lots of valuable experience. However, I can be so proud of Kiia's and Ryan's son, Oiva, who did excellent work in very demanding conditions.

Last Saturday after a short break we competed with Kiia in agility. Although either this time we did not get any clean run, I was so happy with the way she worked with me. At the same time, two girls of hers, Hilla and Liz were in a show for the first time in puppy class. Both of them were Best Puppy, Hilla in a national dog show in Mäntyharju and Liz in Tampere. Congratulations to Laura and Jaana for a very nice start in shows!

Huge congratulations to Nina and Freya for a great start in obedience competition. This fantastic couple participated in their first obedience competition and got right away the first prize. Great job! I am so proud of you!

24.8.2013

Again some very nice news to update. Our next litter's sire, Aron, was eye-tested and everything was ok. Our project can go on. We also received very nice news from Finnish Kennel Club. Lova's (Amazeme Foxtrot Lady) hips are B/A and elbows 0/0. Her shoulders and knees are also clean. Congratulations to Jonna for a healthy girl!

Last weekend not only Rilla did great job in obedience competition. Also her aunt, Lara (Amazeme Good Story) got an excellent 1st prize in Open class with 183 points and Prize of honour. This couple is doing great great job. Friday they got first prize in beginner's class and a day after right away the first prize in open class. Huge congratulations to all of you!

Me too, I competed with Kiia in obedience but this time we did not get any result. We need to practice harder. Kiia's daughter, Grima (Amazeme Strong Faith), instead, was showed up for the first time in puppy class. She was the first one with prize of honour and first of all, she was Best Puppy! Congratulations to Ellinoora for well behaving puppy and charming girl!

16.8.2013

So many great news to share with you (and unluckily some not so good news). Let's start with "not so good" news. Almost two weeks ago we competed with Super in seeking and even though we started well our competition, we did not end it well. Also this time we did not get a result. Maybe next time. But I am happy because other persons from our team have done excellent work. This Wednesday Oiva (Amazeme Cosmic Time) and Leila passed Behaviour Test and got right to participate in working trials. Congratulations to Leila and Oiva! Well done!

Today, Super's daughter, Rilla (Amazeme Fierce Whisper), competed for the first time in obedience and got right away the first prize with Prize of Honour. They got 194 points out of 200. They also won their class. Huge congratulations to Hanni and Rilla! You are a fantastic couple!

We have also received two more health esults of F-litter. Freya's and Myy's official results are following: hips A/A, elbows 0/0, and shoulders OCD free. Also Myy's back was x-rayed and was ok. Her knees were 0/0. Congratulations to Nina, Raine and Henna for your healthy girls!

Also in the shows, our team got some very nice results. Oiva was Best of Dogs in international dog show in Joensuu and received his fourth CACIB last Saturday. His sister, Raina, was fourth best of bitches and received her fifth res-CAC. She is completely out of coat so this was a very nice result. Super won her class in both days and received QC but did not get a placement in Best of Bitches competition. Congratulations to Leila for Oiva's CACIB and to Kaija for Raina's res-CAC!

28.7.2013

What a week full of action! This week we have competed twice in obedience with Kiia. This time she did really nice job but unfortunately also a couple of mistakes. In both competitions we received 246 points out of 320 which means 2nd prize. Only if we had 10 more points, it would have been 1st prize... Anyway, I am so proud of my little girl. Her son, Oiva, instead did excellent job and received his second first prize with 180 points out of 200. But this is not all. Super's daughter, Lova, competed for the first time in obedience last Tuesday and got right away first prize with 182,5 points out of 200. They both received also a Prize of Honour. Huge congratulations to Leila and Jonna for excellent results in obedience! I am so proud of you!

We have also received some very nice health results of F-litter. Hoppu's official results are following: hips A/A, elbows 0/0, knees 0/0, and shoulders OCD free. Also Myy, and Freya have been examined and all looks nice but we have to be patient and wait for official results. They both had OCD free shoulders.

Also in the shows, our team got some very nice results. Rilla received 'Excellent' and was the fourth in her class yesterday in international dog show in Pori. Today, instead, Theba was Best of Breed and received one more CACIB. Congratulations to Sara and Theba!

15.7.2013

We have some very nice news but also some sad news. Let's start with the sad news. Emmi (Amazeme Candid Smile) and her brother, Kelpo (Amazeme Clean Run) participated in Finnish Character Test for dogs and they did very nice job but under huge stress they both were unable to handle the shots at the end of the test. This means that neither of them did not pass the test. However, the results will not change the fact that they both are very nice dogs full of willing to work and sweetest temperament.

Then the good news. On Saturday Raina participated in an international dog show in Oulu where she was 2nd best of bitches and received a res-CAC and a res-CACIB. This was her fourth res-CAC. On Sunday she got 'Excellent' and was the second in her class. Tikki (Amazeme Millennium Story), instead, was the second best of dogs and received his second CACIB in Finland. From our youngsters, Myy (Amazeme French Revolution) was seen in Hyvinkää where she got 'Excellent' and was the second in her class and received 'QC' as well. Congratulations to all of you and thank you for being so active!

11.7.2013

Last night I received excellent news from Vimpeli where Raina and Kaija competed for the third time in obedience. Also this time they got the first result with great points. They received 194 points out of 200 and got a prize of honour. They also won their class. As this was their third 1st prize in beginner's class, they also obtained TK1 -title. Huge congratulations to Kaija and Raina!

7.7.2013

Yesterday Ronja competed for the first time in Winner's class in obedience and got right away an excellent 2nd prize with 241 points out of 320. Congratulations to Tuija for this excellent result after a break of almost a year and half! Congratulations also to Jenni for Lara's res-CAC.

Today Super participated again in a small show here in Laukaa. This time she was 2nd best of bitches. Her granny, Tuisku (Pikkupaimenen Front Page News), 12 old lady, was BOB. Congratulations to Sari for Tuisku's great day in Laukaa. Also Raina and Myy were seen in a show ring but in Karjaa. Again Raina got excellent and wast the fourth in her class. Myy, instead, won junior class with excellent and QC. Congratulations to Henna for Myy's first QC!

16.6.2013

What a week, I have to say. This week has been full of action. Wednesday Raina competed for the first time in obedience and got right away 1st prize. They got 170 points out of 200. The very next day they competed again in Pieksämäki and got again 1st prize with 174 points. Also Ekku competed in the same competition and they also got 1 st prize. Oiva and Leila got this time 3rd prize. Also Ekku's and Super's sister, Lara was seen in the competition but in open class. They did excellent job and got 2nd prize. Congratulations to all of you for very nice results in obedience!

But that was not all. Yesterday I traveled with Raina to Sotkamo where there was a dog show. Raina won her class with excellent and got 'Qualified for certificate'. In best of bitches competition she was the second best of bitches but as the first one was already a champion, she received her first CAC. It was about time as she has lost CAC too many time. :)

We also got very nice news from Tampere where Myy has a clean eye test. Congratulations to Henna for Myy's beautiful and healthy eyes! Biggest congratulations to Kaija for Raina's first but not last CAC!

11.6.2013

Hoppu does it by herself as do all young bitches of her age. :)

23.5.2013

Last Saturday we had Speciality Show for Border Collies and Australian Kelpies. There were over 120 Border Collies (puppies included) entered in the show. From our team we had 10 dogs. Today we had a very nice day in International Dog Show here in Jyväskylä. Raina was the second best in open class and received also qualified for certificate. After a break of almost one year Super did great and was the second best in working class and received also qualified for certificate. Her full sister Theba won Champion Class and was the second best of bitches. She also received res-CACIB which will be confirmed to CACIB. Kiia was just after Theba and was the third best of bitches. I was so happy of our day. Congratulations to Sara and Vellu for Theba's second CACIB!

Yesterday Freya participated in an unofficial puppy show and Best Puppy. Congratulations for such a nice kick off of Freya to Nina and Raine!

Kiia has started her heat and is going to be mated next week. Keep your fingers crossed so that everything will go smoothly!

14.10.2012

A week ago we competed with Kiia for the second time in the highest class of obedience and we did not so excellent work. She was trying hard but it was not enough this time and we did not receive any result. Even though we were not so good, Amazeme dogs have been doing great job. Yesterday Muusa (Amazeme Criminal Intentions) competed for the third time in Beginner's class and they received their third first prize. This means that Muusa is now TK1 Muusa. Congratulations to Heidi and Muusa for excellent results!

But that was not all. Today Theba and Sara competed in obediece and received the first prize. Well done, Sara and Theba! Congratulations!

30.9.2012

Yesterday four daughters of Super participated in an unofficial puppy show in Tampere. Our sweet red girl, Lova was the fourth and my co-owned girl, Rilla was the third. The second best was our gorgeous Nova and Best Puppy was our dear revolutional Myy. She won her sisters with her great moves. They also presented breeder's class and received the prize of honour. The judge gave such a nice judging to all of them. I could not be happier. The judge was Maret Kärdi who is considered as a very experienced judge of our breed.

Today only Nova and Myy were seen in the ring. Again Myy was Best Puppy and Nova was the second best of bitches. The judge was today Pirjo Aaltonen from Finland. Congratulations to Henna for Myy's double-BOB!

23.9.2012

Our extra talent and good working couple Heidi and Muusa competed yesterday in the beginner's class in obedience for the second time and they received again an excellent first prize with prize of honour. They got 180 points out of 200. Congratulations to Heidi and Muusa!

Last Friday I received the last dna result from Optigen. Both of my co-owned girls, Emmi and Raina, from C litter are carriers. It seems that CEA cannot resist double x chromosomes. :)

19.9.2012

Last Thursday Heidi and Muusa passed Behavior Test and got right to compete in working trials. Muusa is officially now BH Muusa. Congratulations to Heidi and Muusa for excellent work!

I competed for the first time in the highest class of obedience with Kiia last Saturday. She did very nice job but this time we did not get a result. Maybe later this autumn...

Last Sunday Oiva was in Finnish Character Test. He had very strong reactions but did not loose his capacity to funtion. Unfortunately the judges thought that he got too nervous and therefore he did not pass the test. You can see the video in three parts from these links: part 1, part 2 and part 3. Now Oiva will concentrate in obedience and tracking and hopefully we will see him in competition already this autumn.

9.9.2012

First of all I want to congratulate Heidi and Muusa for the first prize they obtained in their first competition in obedience. They got 181 points out of 200 and prize of honour. You are a talent couple! Well done!

Today Kiia competed with Hoppu's owner in agility and they did excellent job. From the first run they got disqualified, from the second 15 points and from the last one 5. Thank you Milma for competing with Kiia! It was so relaxing to be just in audience... :)

Last but not least. Oiva has been dna tested clear for CEA. This means that possible Ruska's and Oiva's puppies would be CEA clear by parentage.

3.9.2012

Today is my dearest Nancy's ninth birthday. I feel so lucky to own such a beautiful dog. Congratulations to my "once in a lifetime" dog! I wish we still had many many years together!

Nancy eating her birthday cake

Last Satuday Ronja and Tuija did their first clear run in the first class in agility. Well done, girls and congratulations for the first clear run! In the evening I competed with Kiia in two runs. She did excellent work - better than her owner. We got 15 points from both runs. On Sunday we did not so well and got disqualified in both runs. Theba and Vellu instead did one more clear run and received their first CAC to become Agility Champion. Huge congratulations to Sara, Vellu and Theba!

We had a very nice weekend but something not so nice happened as well. Muusa was in Finnish Character Test which was too much for this young lady. She did not pass it but the girl is tough doing just fine and their life goes on...

12.8.2012

I have had a very busy week. This Thursday we went to Lahti for tracking test with Super and Kiia. Kiia was only for keeping company and she was not so happy about her role. Super did great job and received 260 points out of 300. This means 2nd prize and JK1 title. Now she can apply for C.I.B as well. We will continue with tracking trials next year.

This morning I went to Lapua to see Raina's Finnish Character Test for Dogs and also she did excellent job passing the test with flying colours. She got the following results:

I Capacity for Function: +1 Moderate
II Tendency to Aggressive Behaviour: +1 Low without post-attact aggressiveness

IV Desire to Fight/Play: +2 Moderate
V Nerves: +1 Tendency to nervousness

Great news from Finnish Kennel Association again. Eetu from M litter has A/A hips and 0/0 elbows. Congratulations to Silja for a healthy boy!

This weekend we had herding training with 12 dogs from three different litters. The most of the dogs were doing very nice job even if this was their first time on sheep. A couple of them showed a great interest but were even too keen on them. They need to practice some self control. We have great time all together and enjoyed a lot. It was so wonderful to see how they still have that look... Many thanks to all of you for this excellent experience!

1.7.2012

We have had a very busy week. On Thursday we competed in tracking with Kiia for the first time and she did better than excellent job. She found all six sticks and one object in so called "object searching square". This means that she received 196 points out of 200 from tracking part. In obedience part she worked very well and received 89 points out of 100. This means that she gained first prize and won her class. She can use now JK1 title in front of ther name and can apply for C.I.B title.

On Saturday this time we competed in tracking with Super. She also did excellent job in tracking and found five sticks out of 6. She also found one object in a quite challenging object searching square but unfortunately in obedience part the obstacles were too much for her and could not do them. Therefore she received only 64 points out of 100 which means 6 points were missing to obtain JK1 and C.I.B titles. We need to practice more the obstacles to be ready for our next tracking test in August.

This week we also received again excellent news from Finnish Kennel Association. Fido from M-litter has A/A hips and 0/0 elbows. Congratulations to Jasmi and Pasi for excellent health results of your boy!

20.6.2012

I have to apologize but I have been so busy with puppies and all these competitions that I have totally forgotten to update the result of Ronja's eye test. Ronja had an eye test together with the puppies a week ago. She also had a gonioskopy which was clear. Her eyes had no hereditary diseases however there was one cholesterole crystal in the right eye. This means that we can go on with our future plans.

Today I received two very nice photos of Raina and Oiva from speciality show. Thank you, Judit, for these very nice photos!

Congratulations again to Sara, Vellu and the amazingly beautiful Theba! Also Ronja and Raina competed today receiving both a very nice judging. However, this time they could not beat Theba.

28.5.2011

Oiva and Super participated today in a national dog show in Varkaus. At times it was raining heavily and our kids were more dirty than clean. However Oiva pleased the judge a lot and he won the dogs receiving his third CAC. Also Super did good job being the second best bitch and received her last (9th) CAC. Congratulations again to Leila and Oiva!

15.5.2011

This weekend has been very exciting. It started last Friday with an obedience trial with Super where we gained our second first prize in Open Class. Saturday Oiva, Kaneli, Raina, Theba and Super participated in two different shows. Theba was Best of Breed in Helsinki gaining her second CAC. Oiva was the second best dog and received a res-CAC. Kaneli won her class and received Qualified for Certificate. Super was Third Best Bitch. Also Sunday was a wonderful day. Raina was third Best Bitch, Oiva was Best of Dogs and BOS and received his second CAC. Super was instead Best of Bitches and BOB and received her eighth CAC. Congratulations to all of you and many thanks for wonderful two days in the most perfect company!

25.4.2011

We had an excellent Easter journey with Super, Kiia and Oiva. Friday we participated in International Dog Show in Lahti without huge success but we had an opportunity to meet Emmi, Muusa, Elias and Mökö. Saturday we did a better job. Kiia was BB4 and Oiva was BD3 and received his first CAC. Best of Breed was Nancy's daughter, Lara (Amazeme Good Story) receiving her first CAC and CACIB. Our breeder's group received a prize of honour and was BOB-Breeder's group. Thank you all of you for a very nice journey and congratulations to Jenni and Leila!

11.4.2011

Raina competed for the first time in International Dog Show in Vaasa and did rather an excellent job winning her class with excellent. Congratulations Kaija and Janita!

20.2.2011

Yesterday we participated in a dog show in Tuusniemi together with Oiva, Raina and Super and we could not do better. Raina was BOS-puppy with Prize of Honour, Oiva BOB-puppy with Prize of Honour and Super BOB. Congratulations to Leila, Kaija and Janita! Kids were behaving very nicely.

Today I competed with Kiia in agility and from the second course we managed to get 0-result and the right to compete in 3rd class. Even if we had a long break of more than 5 weeks, she was doing great job. It was a pleasure to work with her.

30.1.2011

I could not be happier. Theba and Vellu gained today their first 0-results in the first class of agility. Congratulations to Sara, Vellu and speedy Theba!

Super instead had success today in Tallinn, Estonia where she participated in International Dog Show being Best of Breed and winning the fourth position in Best in Group competition. Thank you, Jasmine, for taking my girl with you and congratulations for Neela's CAC!

30.1.2011

Great news from Power Girls of Tampere. Tuija and Ronja competed today for the first time in obedience in Open Class gaining the first prize. Congratulations to Tuija and Ronja! I could not be more proud of you!

Yesterday I had a chance to meet Raina and very quickly Kaneli as well. It was so nice to see both beautiful girls. They are growing up very nicely. I added some new photos of Raina in her photo album.

24.1.2011

We had an excellent weekend in Turku. Saturday I met Kiia's daughter Emmi and son Kelpo. They are already now so grown-up. I really enoyed seeing this kids. I must thank Mirka, Petri, Tiina and Jussi for this opportunity!

Sunday we competed in Internatiol Top Dog Show in Turku with Kiia and Super. Kiia's coat is still unfinished and she has taken weight a little bit too much. However she was the second in her class with Excellent and SA. Super was also the second in her class. She was also placed as fourth in Best of Bitches -class and received a res-CAC. Theba was the responsible for the best results of the day winning Super in their class and being 3rd best of Bitches receiving her first CAC. Congratulations to Sara and Vellu!

4.1.2011

Today we had an ultrasound to check if Nancy is expecting puppies and we had very nice news. The approximate due date is in the beginning of February. Now we can publish our puppy blog which is going to be written only in Finnish but you can find there also some photos. If you are interested in this litter, please contact me and I will tell you more. I am looking for active families who are willing to cooperate with me. I hope that you are looking for a new family member with whom you are interested in working in obedience, agility and/or working fields. When contacting me, please, tell me something about yourself and your previous experience with dogs and their training.

2.1.2011

First of all I want to wish all of you Happy New Year! The year started in the most perfect way for Amazeme Border Collies, i.e. Theba (Amazeme Gentle Shadow) competed in agility for the first time with excellent results. From the first course they got 5 and were the second and from the second course they got 10 and were the fifth. Congratulations to Vellu, Sara and Theba for this excellent start in agility!

Tuesday morning I will take Nancy to an ultra sound check. I will update the news as soon as possible.

News of the year 2010

6.12.2010

Yesterday Nancy was mated to Otto for the first time. We will go back there this evening.

2.12.2010

This Monday Rane's eyes were checked and there were two fuzzy spots. Diagnosis was cataract: suspectous. Even though the risk is minimal, I decided to mate Nancy to another dog. You can read more about him from his own page.

28.11.2010

Some great news to tell you from this weekend. Today and yesterday we competed in agility with Kiia. Yesterday we won the second competition with 0 result. Today we were not doing such great job but it was Super taking care of nice results. Super was today BOB in Norway winning Nordic Winner 2010 -title at the same time. She also received her first CACIb from abroad.

22.11.2010

Nancy made me a "practical joke" and started her heat much ealier than predicted. As I cannot be sure from when she has been on heat, I have to take the first test next Thursday after which we will be much wiser with the issue.

13.11.2010

Yesterday three of Amazeme girls participated in International Dog Show in Jyväskylä and all of them got excellent. Super was 2nd in Intermediate Class and Theba was just a step behind. Ronja won Open Class and was 5th best of bitches gaining res-CAC. Here you are some photos of the girls from today's running.

23.10.2010

Today we had an excellent day. We participated in International Dog Show in Seinäjoki and Ronja was 4th of her class with Excellent. She competed in Open Class although she is only 17 months old. Super instead won her class and was 2nd best of bitches and gained her 4th CAC and res-CACIB which should be confirmed to her as CACIB. I had also chance to meet Raina. Thank you Tuija, Kaija and Janita for making my day so beautiful!

I have completely forgotten to mention that two weeks ago we were doing some herding with Super and Kiia and both of them seemed to have some herding instict. That was a nice experience. Maybe we will try again next year.

18.10.2010

Yesterday Tuija and Ronja competed in obedience's beginner class and gained 1st results with flying colours. They got 180 points out of 200. I am so proud of you! Congratulations to Tuija and Ronja!

27.9.2010

We had a very succesful weekend. Ronja participated in International Dog Show in Eckerö and was 3rd of Bitches and received a third CAC.

I competend with all my three girls in obedience. Super received 1st prize with flying colours. She got 198 points out of 200 and won her class. Kiia did a great job as well. She got her third 1st prize and gained TK2 which is kind of training award in open class. Nancy as well worked well but then we made a couple of mistakes and got 3rd prize. However, we had a very enjoyable day with all our friends.

12.9.2010

Power Girls from Tampere did great results yesterday. Theba passed Behaviour Test and now is officially BH Theba. Ronja instead competed in obedience for the first time and gained a very good II prize despite of two little "working accidents". Congratulations to Sara and Tuija who have made excellent work with these girls!

5.9.2010

We had a very exciting and busy weekend. I competed with my older girls in agility in both days without huge success but we had however lots of fun. The best results gave us Ronja who was Best of Opposite Sex in Tampere. She beated 20 bitches which is a great achievement for such a young lady. Congratulations to Tuija and Ronja!

25.8.2010

As my birthday present I received a very nice letter from FCI in which they confirmed that Nancy is not both International Show Champion (C.I.E) and International Champion (C.I.B).

21.8.2010

She did it again even if almost naked. Today we were in Kouvola with Super in a national dog show. She was Best of Breed and received her third CAC.

10.8.2010

Last week we really had busy time. Thursday we visited a vet who tested C-litter´s eyes. Everything was just great. Also their granny´s eyes were tested clear. Friday we participated with Super in Savo Dog Show. She got Very Good because of her lost coat. The judge, however, liked her a lot and told us 'come back' next year. Sunday we competed in agility with Nancy. Not gaining lots of honour and glory but two results, anyway.

3.8.2010

Last Saturday we had our Special Show for Border Collies. There were 99 dogs participating of which 44 dogs and 55 bitches. It was great to see so many beautiful dogs and their ultra nice owners! Our little girls, Theba and Super, were presented in a quite naked condition. Theba got VG and Super Excellent being the second in her class. Their dad, Jarre, was the first of Champion Class and the second best male. The day was the most glorious to Jarre´s sister, Ruska (Pikkupaimenen Golden News), who was Best of Show. COngratulations to Katja and Sari! Here you are some photos of Theba and Super. Saara Suuronen has taken these photos. Thank you, Saara, for these beautiful photos!

Super doing her best

30.7.2010

We finally got the official results of Theba´s hip and elbows score. She also continues the same line with her sisters and brother. She has A/A and 0/0. Congratulations to Sara and Vellu for a healthy dog!

11.7.2010

Today we got very good news from Sweden where G-litter´s sir, Jarre, was BOB. He gained his last CACIB needed for C.I.E. BOS was one the litter´s relative, Tazma (Pp The Next Page). Congratulations to Minna and Sari!

4.7.2010

So boring... :) We have again great news to tell you about G-litter´s health results. Our only boy, Ekku has A/A as his hip score and 0/0 as elbows. Congratulations to Heidi and her family for healthy dog!

3.7.2010

We have had an excellent week. First with Super we gained the right to compete in working trials by passing BH test. Then today in Intenational Dog Show in Pori she was Best Of Breed gaining her second CAC. Because she is still junior, she could not have CACIB. I am tough very happy of her success and I want to thank my dear friend for taking my little girl with her and presenting her in the ring. I wanted to stay at home with puppies so I could not be there testifying Super's glory day.

1.7.2010

Great news to tell you again. Today we passed Finnish Behaviour Test with Super with flying colours. She worked really nicely and I could be more proud of her. So she earned her first title. Now she is officially BH Super.

23.6.2010

Today we got some new health results of G-litter. Super's hip score is FCI-A and elbows 0/0. Her back was x-rayed too and was just perfect. I am so happy to have a healty girl. :)

2.6.2010

The first health results of G-litter have just arrived. Ronja's hip score is FCI-A, elbows and knees both of them 0/0. Her back was x-rayed too and was just perfect. Congratulation to Tuija for having a healthy dog!

31.5.2010

Last weekend could not go better. Super was Best of Opposite Sex in Joensuu last Saturday gaining her first CAC. Sunday she was 4th Best Bitch. The girl was behaving well and I could not have been happier to own a dog like her.

23.5.2010

Again great news! Today in International Dog Show in Hamina  Lara was 2nd of Junior Bitches with Excellent and 2nd of Best Bitches obtaining her second res-CAC. Congratulations to Jenni and Lara!

19.5.2010

Today we had an ultrasound to check if Kiia is expecting puppies and we had a very positive answer. The approximate due date is at the turn of week 25.

16.5.2010

Jarre's and Nancy's puppies are today 1 year. Happy birthday to you my dearest! Yesterday we had six Border Collies in our house. Thank you so much for a very nice day together, Sara, Tuija and Meeri! Meeri took many great photos of the girls. You can see some of them below. I will add some more to our photo album later next week. Thank you so much, Meeri, for the photos.

For those who are interested in Ryan's and Kiia's litter, I will take her to the ultra sound check next Wednesday. I will update our web site as soon as possible.

26.4.2010

Yesterday we got again great news from Nancy's very first daughter, Piitu and Meeri. They got their 3rd first result in obedience and gained Finnish Obedience Champion title at age of 2 years and 9 months. Huge congratulations to Piitu and Meeri! You are so goooooood!!!

22.4.2010

Yesterday we came back home from Denmark where we met Ryan and his wonderful owners, Dina and Morten. Kiia was mated with Ryan last time this Tuesday. Hopefully we will get puppies in the end of June. Thank you Dina and Morten for giving us Ryan and being so kind and helpful!

Last Saturday Nancy and three of her daughters competed in two different shows with very nice results. Ronja got Very Good in Sysmä and Super got Excellent and was 2nd of her class. Mum was 3rd Best Bitch in Vaasa but the most wonderful news gave us Piitu who was Best of Breed and got her second CAC and her first CACIB and beated her mum! And this was just her 7th show. There is something to be proud of! Huge congratulations to Piitu, Meeri and Susanna!

7.4.2010

The signs are never wrong. Yesterday Kiia started her heat. This means that the mating should take place on 17th and 19th April if the heat progressed in a normal way. I will make her an ultrasound check four weeks after the mating. If she is pregnant, we will publish our blog.

5.4.2010

Yesterday in Lappeenranta Ronja got Excellent and was 2nd in her class. The little girl from Ristiina, Lara, charmed the judge (Rui Oliveira, Portugal)  and was 2nd Best Bitch with res-CAC. Congratulations Jenni and Tuija!

Kiia still keeps us in tension and has not yet started her heat but the signs are very promising.

16.3.2010

We had a wonderful trip to Vilnius, Lithuania where we participated to Vilnius Winner 2010 and Vilnius Cup 2010 shows. Nancy was Best Of Breed in both days and she gained her final CACIB to become C.I.B and C.I.E as well. At the same time she gained LT CH and LT W-10 titles! Not bad at all :-)

Kiia has not yet started her season but maybe Nancy's heat will speed her a little bit. I will announce her season here when it starts. Hopefully it will be soon...

20.2.2010

Today we had a successful trip to Tuusniemi where. Ronja was Best of Breed and gained her first CAC. In the big ring she was chosen among first eight dogs but then could not get further. Still not a bad performance from a girl who got nine months last Tuesday. Congratulations to Tuija!

16.2.2010

Last Sunday Super was the second best bitch puppy (out of 5 dogs) receiving Price of Honour! Congratulations to Janika! Today Nancy's and Jarre's puppies are 9 monhts old and can compete in official dog shows and I am looking forward to it!

17.1.2010

What a great start for the new year! Ronja was Best Puppy today in Lahti. She was doing good job showing her best to the judge. Huge congratulations to Tuija for Ronja`s first Price of Honour! I am so proud of you two.

2.1.2010

First of all, Happy New Year to all of you! I wish this year will bring you lots of happiness and beautiful moments! To sum up last year I can mention some high lights. In March Nancy gained Finnish Obedience Champion title and with Kiia we had our first competition in agility and we got our first 0 result from our very first course. Few months later, in October, Kiia got right to compete in the second class of agility in which she got the first 0 result in December. In obedience, we managed to get a first prize in the second class in October. She also passed behavior test in October gaining BH title and the right to compete in working trials at the same token. In shows, Nancy was once BOB and received her second CACIB and Kiia gained Finnish Show Champion title in October when passing Finnish Character Test. The last show result required for the title she got in August being twice BOB.

This year we are going to be quite active especially in agility until Kiia's season. Nancy will participate to some shows as well. In obedience, I believe that we do not get ready before next autumn. We are also looking forward to seeing Nancy's and Jarre's babies entring in show rings and obedience/agility competitions. In addition, we hope to get beautiful puppies also this year. These are our plans... Only time will tell if they come true or not.

News of the year 2009

22.11.2009

Yesterday was a fantastic day. We could see lots of beautiful border collies and meet their owners in the special dog show for Border Collies, above all I could see three of G-litter's girls. Theba was the second best of baby puppies (age 5 to 7 months), Super  was the third and Ronja the fourth. All of them got a prize of honour. They were doing a great job and behaving amagingly well. Thank you so much Sara, Janika and Tuija for coming to the show. Kiia was the third best of champions. Here's one photo of hers at the show ring.

9.11.2009

Last Saturday G-litter's sir, Jarre, was BOS in Tarto and gained Estonian Champion title. Her sister, Ruska (Pp Golden News) was BOB and became Estonian Champion as well. Huge congratulations!

1.11.2009

Yesterday our wonderful Ronja paid us a visit. We went out for a walk together and took some nice photos. Thank you so much, Tuija, for passing by! It was really nice to see both of you! The first Amazeme has made her first debut in Finnish broadcasting media: Theba was filmed in Poliisi-TV when seaching a missing person in Tampere. You are such brave girls!

Today I took some photos of Nancy, who tries hard to get a better coat. She looks already much better but has still some way tio go...

23.10.2009

Again we had rather a busy weekend. Satuday we had over 20 visitors for the baptism of our younger son, Tuomas. Sunday I competed in obedience with both of my girls. The competition was at the same time Championship of our district in the fourth class (where Nancy competed) and between 6 teams of 5 different clubs. Our team won again (this was the third time) gold. Kiia was doing again a great job. She got the first prize and was the second of her class out of 15 dogs although we had some distractions at the beginning. Two dogs from another competition ring ran away and started to play in our ring when our dogs were doing their "staying in one place". Those dogs attacked my precious Kiia jumping over her and showing their teeth to her. She was bravely staying in her place, though showing her teeth as well. At the second try, two dogs in our groups started to have some fun by playing and running around together. Again, Kiia was keeping her place. At the third try we managed to finish properly the job. I was so proud of her. Unfortunately things did not go so well with Nancy, partly lack of orientation (I had to run from Kiia's ring directly to Nancy's ring without any break) and lack of training, as well. It's a pity to end her career of obedience in this way but maybe the three zeroes she got are some kind of sign for agility in the future :-)

5.10.2009

We had a very exciting weekend. Saturday Kiia had the Finnish Character Test for Dogs and passed it without any difficulties gaining Finnish Champion title at the same time. I am so proud of my girl. Sunday we drove to Mikkeli for agility competitions. We had three courses to run and failed in each of them. She was working very nicely but as we know in agility one second of distraction can cost you much. Fortunately we could meet Ekku and Lara so we did not drive to Mikkeli all in vain. We took some photos of these two. I have added some of them to our photo album.

1.10.2009

Today I managed to have some time to take some photos of my girls. Nancy is renewing her coat very fast but still lacking it totally in the rear. She gives a quite interesting impression. I'm sorry for the quality of the photos but it's not evident to succeed when shooting alone. I'm lucky to own such obedient and nicely smiling girls. :-)

Kiia, instead, has a beautiful coat at athe moment. This photo of hers is not excellent but good enough to be published. Can't have it all...

20.9.2009

Yesterday Piitu participated in a dog show in T ampere and was 4th Best of Bitches and received her second res-CAC. Congratulations Piitu and Meeri!  Last Sunday we got visitors from Rauma: Super came to see her mum and step-sister with Liinu. We also went out together with daddy and her cousin, Jippo. We had great time, especially the kids who were playing with at the bottom of every ditch. Here is one photos of all of us.

Daddy Jarre, cousin Jippo, Super, Liinu, stgep-sister Kiia and mum Nämppä

30.8.2009

Finally we are again all together. Kiia returned home after one month with a new coat. Meanwhile when she was absent, we got an addition to the family on Thursday 20 th August. Here is one photo of the next generation's lover of agility. We did agility the day before he was born... :-)

I'm also planning to publish a photo serie of Nancy renewing her coat. Now she is totally naked... And for comparison a couple of photos of my girls together.

Kiia having almost a full coat

My girls together

And finally my dear Nancy...

By the way, I almost forgot, for those who plan to make a new website, Anthem Solutions offers you websites of high quality with reasonable price.

9.8.2009

This weekend has been exceptionally successful for Nancy's and Cooper's litter. Yesterday Blacky was BOS and gained his sixth and last Finnish certificate. Congratulations! Kiia could not participate in the show because she had a little accident and could not run. Today Piitu instead competed in the highest class of obedience and won her second first prize. One more like these and she will be Obedience Champion like her mum. Huge congratulations to Meeri and Piitu!

9.7.2009

This Monday the puppies were checked by a vet and everything was ok. The eyes were tested clear for CEA as well. The same for Kiia. In addition, the vet made her a gonioskopy and did not find any anormalies. The first three of our wonderful kids have already left home and started a "new life" in their new homes. Everything has gone just great. Sunday we competed in obedience with Kiia and got a second prize. At the beginning she did not know what we were doing there but after two first moves she started to work rather nicely. Our next try will be in two weeks.

3.7.2009

Sorry for have been so lazy (or surprisinlgy just too busy). Last week we got baptisme (read micro chips). Hopefully we got their names right. Yesterday we took some new photos. The sun was so bright that the most of the photos were too bright but I cannot blame the sun... It's so nice to have some of that now. Thank Birgitta for your help! The new photos can be seen at the puppies' own page. Below you can see some of them. My dear colleague, Kati, took very nice photos last Wednesday. I put them to our photo album. Thank you, Kati, for these very nice photos!

Wednesday  we got a Volhard's puppy aptitude test. To learn more about the test, click here. A brief summary was orally given to me but unfortunately the final results I have not got yet. When I will receive them I will update them below.

Mostly 1’s Mauno (2/9), Enrico (3/10), Kiia (4/13), Herne (3/9)

Strong desire to be pack leader and is not shy about bucking for a promotion
Has a predisposition to be aggressive to people and other dogs and will bite
Should only be placed into a very experienced home where the dog will be trained and worked on a regular basis

Mostly 2’s Mauno (2/9), Herne (3/9), Pii (5/10), Brown (4/13)

Also has leadership aspirations
May be hard to manage and has the capacity to bite
Has lots of self-confidence
Should not be placed into an inexperienced home
Too unruly to be good with children and elderly people, or other animals
Needs strict schedule, loads of exercise and lots of training
Has the potential to be a great show dog with someone who understands dog behavior

Mostly 3’s Mauno (2/9), Enrico (3/10)

Can be a high-energy dog and may need lots of exercise
Good with people and other animals
Can be a bit of a handful to live with
Needs training, does very well at it and learns quickly
Great dog for second time owner.

Mostly 4’s     -

The kind of dog that makes the perfect pet
Best choice for the first time owner.
Rarely will buck for a promotion in the family
Easy to train, and rather quiet.
Good with elderly people, children, although may need protection from the children
Choose this pup, take it to obedience classes, and you’ll be the star, without having to do too much work!

Mostly 5’s     -

Fearful, shy and needs special handling
Will run away at the slightest stress in its life
Strange people, strange places, different floor or ground surfaces may upset it
Often afraid of loud noises and terrified of thunder storms. When you greet it upon your return, may submissively urinate.  Needs a very special home where the environment doesn’t change too much and where there are no children
Best for a quiet, elderly couple
If cornered and cannot get away, has a tendency to bite

Mostly 6’s Mauno (2/9)

So independent that he doesn’t need you or other people
Doesn’t care if he is trained or not - he is his own person  Unlikely to bond to you, since he doesn’t need you.

20.6.2009

Hip hip hurray! Yesterday our puppies' sir, Pikkupaimenen Golden Arrow "Jarre",  gained the first prize twice with a 0-result and got right to compete in III class of agility. Huge congratulations!

Our house gets wilder day after day. We have been spending lots of time outside and yesterday the puppies got their second worm threatment. They still sleep well during the night until 6 o'clock when they want to have a cup of milk. :-) After that they sleep until 8 o'clock. Aren't they well behaving children? :-) The days go eating, playing, making pee around the house and now and then having a nap. Next week they are going to have a chip and the official names as well. You can go and have a look at their names and the receint photos at their own page which is still under construction but will be filled completed later.

13.6.2009

Our sweet puppies are today 4 weeks old and eat three times a day. We have been outside several times and they seem to enjoy it a lot. Our neighbours' children have been playing with the pups who just love biting and attacking them :-) Yesterday we managed to take some photos of sleepy pups. Thank you for your help, Jassu, and huge congratulation for Finnish Champion title of Silja (Golden Mist Still In Love) and for the second place in the group today in Mikkeli!

Our sweet puppies have grown very well and have made lots of progress. We can already see them playing and teasing each other. This Friday we started the first worm threatment. Last few days the pups have been tasting some food as well and they seems to enjoy it a lot. Today we spent a couple of minutes outside (to take some photos). 30.5.2009

Another week has gone and all seems to be just great with the puppies. They are getting weight very nicely. Today even the smallest one passed the magical line of 1 kg. This Wednesday almost all of them got their eyes open. Two exceptions, Herne and Brown, opened the eyes very next day. Today for the first time I took Nancy out for a longer walk and she seemed to enjoy it a lot although wanted to hurry up in the end of our walking in the forest. This time I managed to add some new photos to our album. Go and have a look at them.

The first week has gone very quickly. There is not much action in the box. All the puppies do is to eat and to sleep. All of them have doubled their weight in a week, even the smallest one, Pii, who seems to be very determined. Noses are getting black. We can hardly wait to see which one of them opens his/her eyes first. Here you can see a picture of each of them. This time I could not add any new ones to our photo album because the major part of the photos were too strongely exposed.

Puppies have gained weight very nicely. In three days all of them have gained almost 50% of the birth weight. This Saturday I will take some photos of each of them to celebrate their first week but before that have a look at these. Aren't they cute? Some other new photos can be found in our photo album. Here is also a link to the video of Jarre's second track of 10th May agility competition.

May I introduce you Nancy's and Jarre's babies? We call them now Spice Girls, but the only boy has the honour to be called Enrico. All them are doing just fine, getting every day more grams. They all have already found a nice home. I want to thank all of you who have been interested in this litter. It has been a honour to have so much interest on these puppies.

Then one nice photo of all puppies together. Some more photos can be found in our  photo album.

I put there some new photos of Kiia doing agility with my daughter for the first time. They seemed to have great fun together.

16.5.2009

Today we got 6 wonderful puppies. There are one boy (Enrico) and five girls (Spice Girls). The first one was born at 10:09 and the last one at 14:34. The weights go from 250 gr to 350 gr. Nancy is doing just great. We try to insert some photos next Monday at the latest but before that please, have a look at our personal shredder :-)

11.5.2009

Yesterday we participated in Mother day's agility competition in Jyväskylä. This was our first time that we could actually run on the tracks even if it was our fourth time being there. Last year and the year before Nancy got her season and  three years ago I was pregnant, etc. Well, this time I decided to compete in spite of my all the time growing belly (for those who do not know yet I should explain this: my expected date is 14th of August). So, we were back on track again and Kiia was doing very nice work, especially on the second and we were surprisingly fast, i.e. we got more than 17 seconds below the ideal time and that's something! We did have great time and that was the point.

Yesterday we brought in the whelping crate and Nancy already nosed it around. She was even growling to Kiia when the Kid tried to step in. We have been taking her temperature since Saturday evening and she seems to still have "Saturday night fever". I can feel movements of some puppies and that is really nice. In general, she is more calm but now and then (every day) she  gets those attacks of madness which make her to run and play with Kiia and of course, to bring me sticks to be thrown. What a silly girl!

3.5.2009

First of all I want to congratulate again Meeri and Piitu for achieving their third 0-result in agility. Now they have right to compete in II class. Finland's got talent! :-) Today we made our debut in obedience with Kiia and gained the first prize right away. She worked very nicely even though was a little bit confused about the situation. I am very proud of my little girl.

We took again some photos of our girls doing some agility in our back yard. We added them into our  photo album which should work properly now. Here are some nice pictures of Nancy with her big belly doing weave poles.

And then, of course, one photo of hers standing still... Isn't she gorgeous even if a little bit cubby :-)

26.4.2009

And I thought that we would not have any other news than those related to puppies... Huge congratulations! Nancy's daughter, Piitu and Meeri, got today their first 1st prize in the fourth class of obedience! Two more like this and you also will earn the title of Obedience Champion. I am so proud of you!

25.4.2009

I have decided to write our puppy diary at this page. After all, I don't think that we have many news to be told besides puppies. Today I gave a nice present to all of our pets: a worm treatment. Especially our cats were extremely happy about it. Nancy's belly is growing so I guess that everything is going just great. She is no more as speedy as usual but occassionally looks for sticks and running fast with Kiia the Horrible Kid. Here you can find one photos of hers. More photos to be found on  Nancy and Kiia as well in our photo album.

In order to not to let the wonderful offspring to be overshadowed by her mum here is one photo of Kiia (finally still).

Then some more interesting news. Jarre's mum (Pikkupaimenen Front Page News) has been tested clear in gonioskopy. This makes things even more complicated. It seems that it is difficult to know if a dog "carries" glaucoma or not without a proper DNA test or a critical mass of tested offspring.

17.4.2009

Today I read some very nice news from Finnish Dog Data Base. Nancy's daughter, Iida, has been studied for hips and elbows. The result for hips is FCI-B and for elbows 0/0. I have also found that Jarre's sir, Nahrof the Cohort, has been tested clear in gonioskopy. If interested, go to see Coh's and many other dogs' results here.

14.4.2009

I don't know if I shoud start with good or excellent news. Ok, let's start with good news. Yesterday we were in International Dog Show in Lappeenranta and Nancy was Best of Breed. In group competition, she was selected among eight best dogs but that was our happy end. Kiia got "very good" although the judge liked her a lot but as she carries her tail too high when running, she could not give her "excellent". She said me twice how sorry she was for that because she really liked my little girl. At the end of judging she stated the following "When standing she is an exceptionally harmonious whole".

Then excellent news... This afternoon we had an ultra sound check and according to it we are going to have our first Amazeme-litter in the middle of May. I could wait for this because Nancy's behaviour has changed a lot but still I wanted to be cautious. Now we can concentrate happily on getting the belly round.

24.3.2009

Last Saturday we competed with Kiia in agility in Siilinjärvi. Our results can be found at her page. She was working very nicely even if the courses were rather challenging, especially when taking our level into consideration. This was our last competition before next autumn. Now we will concentrate more on obedience - and tracking when the snow will have melted for good. I added two links to Jarre's agility courses at his own page. Please, feel free to visit it. :-)

20.3.2009

Today I took Nancy to the vet and she was checked with gonioskopy. The result was unafected which means that she has normal angles in her beatiful eyes. I have added the pedigree of this possible litter to Puppies-page (only in 4 generations). If you wish to have a larger pedigree, please, visit following page of Finnish Dog Data Base.

18.3.2009

After several misadventures we decided to ask Jarre’s (Pikkupaimenen Golder Arrow) paw and to mate Nancy with him. I know Jarre for at least 2 years and I have followed his development very carefully. I had earlier discussed with his breeder about a possible mating of Nancy with Jarre and for me he was the best and only solution. (I think that I could not have him otherwise). As Nancy had already her 13th day of heat on last Sunday, we mated her with Jarre right away when returning home from our trip to Kuusankoski (via Lahti). As Jarre’s eye control was over 2 years old, his owner took him to the control the day after. I did not consider this as a problem because last time when his eyes were checked (January 2007), the result was clear for hereditary diseases and as Finnish rules of registration allows (until the end of June) the registration of puppies if the eye control is less than 2 years old at the moment of registration. As assumed, Jarre was examined “clear” for CEA and other hereditary diseases. In addition to the normal test, his owner wanted gonioscopy examination to be made. Gonioscopy is a physical eye examination that assesses the structure of the eye and these angles. The statement of the veterinary was that Jarre is “affected” which means that he could develop glaucoma one day. Still, as you can read for example from here "it is important to note that gonioscopy is not a test for glaucoma, it is simply an examination of the eye to assess any predisposition for narrow angle glaucoma. A dog that tests affected for goniodysgenesis will not necessarily go on to develop glaucoma, indeed many do not."

It is known that the narrow angle glaucoma is hereditary but the mode of inheritance is not known. Some people think that we are dealing with an autosomal gene here and much more likely that the cause is polygenetic (i.e. involves more than one gene or modifier). It has been also shown that two unaffected parents can produce affected pups and vice versa, in the same way that two parents with low hip scores may produce a pup with HD. As far, glaucoma as a disease seems to be very rare in our breed. That is why there are not many dogs that are tested and it is highly probable that many of these non-tested breeding dogs have narrow angles but to build up a better picture of the extent and heritability of this problem we need more dogs get tested and more results to be published.

So we were in a quite unpleasant situation. Nancy had already been mated with Jarre and we could not take abortion in consideration already for her health and for my ethical opinions. We have to remember that this litter might have a risk to have these narrow angles and in that way to have a risk to develop glaucoma one day. Because of these two risks, it is still crucial to do gonioscopy to all of the puppies at the age of 1 year, especially if they are planned to be used for breeding purposes. However, this litter, if tested unaffected, will be very valuable for breeding purposes. Jarre and Nancy perfectly accompany each other. In this litter Jarre’s readiness and speed will be united with Nancy’s educability. Puppies will be highly viable and very energetic that’s why they will be given only to active families.

8.3.2009

We got a brillant Ladies' day. We had our very first agility competition today with Kiia and we managed right away to get 0-result. At the same time we won 3rd place out of 22 dogs. She worked very nicely and knew to behave well at the competition. I was so proud of my little girl!

3.3.2009

Nancy is not just Finnish Obedience Champion but also Finnish Timing Champion. She started her season today. Couldn't be a better timing, I would say. We are expecting to have a very nice company at the end of next week. All the excitement shall begin...

1.3.2009

Today we had a day of glory. Nancy had apparantely accepted the challenges I gave her two weeks ago i.e. Nancy prefered to gain Finnish Obedience Champion title (being at the same time the first out of 5 dogs) than start her season ;-) She worked very nicely, and I was able to control my nerves. I have to admit that I had few tears of pure joy when I heard our result. I was so happy to be able to share that moment with my dear friend, Hanna, and my cousin. Without Hanna's help we would not be in this happy position as we are now. You have been a great help and especially a great support for us. Thank you so much, Hanna, believing in us!

I want to thank also Salme Mujunen for resolving some of our basic problems and showing us how to work in a right mood. I would like to thank also Hanna Helminen for sharing with us your training philosophy! It helped us a lot. Not forgetting the great help and support of Jaana, Meeri and Birgitta! Thank you for all of you! It's great to have such friends like you.

14.2.2009

As Nancy hasn't wanted to start her period, I decided to participate in Valentine's Day Obedience Trial in Pieksämäki. Kiia had to stay at home because of her season. Our competition went quite well. I was especially happy with her drive. She was working willingly although during the competition she got some wierd ideas in her pretty, little head. To ease my stress caused by waiting her season to start I decided to sign up for as many as possible competitions. So as next news we are going to tell you is that she is either Obedience Champion or having her season :-)

25.1.2009

We had a great weekend full of action. Saturday we were at dog show in Turku. Kiia got "Very Good" and Nancy was third best bitch and received her first reserve CACIB. She was behaving quite wildly in ring. The same repeated today in Helsinki where we competed in obedience. We managed to get only 2nd prize with two zeros and that came with hard work. We had though lots of fun! Her season keeps us waiting but I could almost bet that she will start her season next week...

6.1.2009

First of all I want to wish all of you Happy New Year and thank you for offering us your help, support and lots of good advices. Without you this wouldn't be fun at all.

This year has started in a perfect way. Today we achieved our second first prize in the 4th class of obedience. One more like that and she will be Obedience Champion! I am so proud of my little girl who worked very nicely today.

News of the year 2008

15.12.2008

Last weekend we did not so great but fortunately Blacky saved our day by winning Junior Winner 2008 -title. He got his 5th CAC and at the same time got the right to participate to Crufts Dog Show in 2009 or in 2010. Huge congratulations to Susanna and Blacky! !

7.12.2008

What a great weekend! This morning we drove to Pori for obedience trial and we managed to win 1st prize in fourth class of obedience which means that two more like this and Nancy will be Obedience Champion. I was extremely happy about her way of working. I have such a talent girl!

6.12.2008

Today we participated to Independent Day's agility competition in Joensuu and we made our third 0-result winning the first place which means that we got right to compete in III class. Unfortunately we could not stay there any longer so we could not try to give our best shot in III class. Maybe at the beginning of next year we will try to participate one or two agility competitions to get an idea about how it is in the "royal class" of agility. At least her name is perfectly fit for the class ;-)

23.11.2008

Yesterday we were not so lucky. Nancy's series of 17 Excellent was broken. She got a "VERY GOOD" even if the judge liked her a lot and praised her especially when running but he could not give her better prize because of her coat. Kiia too got a "VERY GOOD".  She was not critized for her coat but for her  tail carriage. So we did not so great but hopefully we will do much better in Winner 2008.

15.11.2008

Almost is never enough. Today we almost got our first first prize in the 4th obedience class. She was doing a great job but unfortunately we got only 253 points out of 320. To achieve first prize you should get 256 points. This time we could not make it but the competition of today still  encouraged me to continue. Maybe one day our dream will come true.

10.11.2008

We had a great trip to Estonia. Our hotel was good and food was excellent. Rane and Nancy, they both gained the title of Est Ch. The judge also liked their combination. Kiia was not doing so well. Our judge found her too unfinished and told me come back next year. She still liked the type. The  third successful lady in our company was Silja (Golden Mist Still In Love). She also received CAC and CACIB and was Best of Bitches. I want to thank all of you for a very nice journey in Estonia!

Last week I received an email from OptiGen in which they told me that Nancy is CL clear/normal. This means that Nancy's and Cooper's all litter is also CL clear/normal by parentage.

25.10.2008

Today we did not great in obedience competition. Our test started badly and I could not help letting it have an influence on me. The consequence was that first Nancy tried hard to please me and work well but finally ended to give up. From last two moves we got 0 points. Fortunately we got great news from Dog Show of Seinäjoki. Blacky was there BOS, Best of Dogs and received his fourth Certificate. Congratulations to Susanna and Blacky-boy!

12.10.2008

We did NOT great yesterday in agility. We were in Siilinjärvi and we had three courses to run (in II class). From all of three we got "disqualified". Nevertheless Nancy was listening me well. All bars stayed up and she made perfectly seven contacts out of nine. She also entered easily into weave pole from very demanding angles. All three courses were very nice but they demanded a very careful working. On the first and the third courses we took a wrong obstacle in a place which I had considered as the easiest part of the course. I should have been more careful and concentrated on my guiding. In spite of our little failure we had a very nice and enjoyable day. I will add links to the courses and the results as soon as they will be published at Hukka-Putki's (the organizer of the contest)  site. You will find them from Nancy's agility results page.

20.9.2008

Today we got right to compete in II class in agility! First of all I want to thank Pirkko for coaching us at the competition and for helping us with contact obstacles! I got also very good advices from Tuija, who is a traineer in JAT, so I want to thank her  too for our "success" of today's competition.

16.9.2008

We got  great, great news last Sunday.  Meeri and Piitu got their first 1st result in obedience test. They compete in 3rd class (so called winners' class). Now they have right to compete in 4th class. Congratulations to the Brillant Meeri and of course to "even too clever" Piitu!

13.9.2008

Long time no seen ;-) Lately we have been so busy that I haven't had time to update properly my site. Sorry for that. We got a result of Kiia's CEA-test from Optigen on 29th of August. She's been tested CARRIER.  That's sad but hey, you can't always win ;-) Yesterday, we got instead some marvellous news from Finnish Kennel Union. Kiia's hips are A/A and elbows 0/0. But this isn't all for health results. Nancy's eyes were controlled this Thursday. They were clean, except for distihiasis, which means in her case one extra eyelash on her left upper eyelid. Fortunately, this lash is very small and soft. Two years ago she got two extra eyelashes, always on her left eye but near to the corner. Maybe in two years, she won't have any of them ;-) According to the vet, these extra eyelashes are very common and they can be a real annoyance to some of dogs. Fortunately Nancy hasn't any trouble for her extra eyelash. According to the vet, there is no reason not to use Nancy as a breeding dog because these extra lashes are one of the smallest problems a breed can have. So there won't be any changes in our breeding plans (read= *Nancy sending kisses and hugs to Rane).

24.8.2008

Today we got (Nancy and me) our second 0-result in agility and we also won the 1st place. From the second course we got 10 but we still had lots of fun. She is so great! I just love working with her.

17.8.2008

Yesterday we participated to three agility courses. I enjoyed working with Nancy and we had lots of fun together although this time we couldn't make a "0-result". When going back home we received good news from Kouvola's Dog Show.  Blacky was the second best dog  and got his third CAC. Heike Bilsheim from Germany was as a judge. Congratulations again to Blacky-boy and Susanna!

11.8.2008

We had a wonderful weekend, full of great, great news. Saturday Nancy got her first 0-result in agility and won 2nd place. Sunday Piitu and Blacky were at a dog show in Saarijärvi. As a judge we had Sheila Polk from USA. Blacky was the third best male and got CACIB and Piitu was the best bitch, BOS and got CACIB too. Congratulations to all of you!

7.8.2008

Yesterday Nancy passed her first tracking trial with 236 points out of 300 points. She can compete now in Open Class. She was such a brave girl. I'm so proud of my girl!

25.7.2008

Yesterday Susku and brillant Blacky-boy won a 1st prize (173 points out of 200 points) in obedience test in Hamina. It was their first test. Congratulations to both of you!

24.7.2008

Today we celebrate Nancy's first litter's birthday. Happy birthday to all of you and especially to our sweet honey sugar, Kiia!  She got a couple of toys and a packet of bones for her birthday and of course, a great piece of liver casserole cake with some mayonnaise and frankfurters on the top.

19.7.2008

We have been lately incredibly busy. Last three weeks we have done lots of tracking training (including obedience part) and I'm so happy to notice that we have improved in it. Especially this week has been socially very active. Tuesday Meeri and Piitu paid a visit to us. Girls got surprisingly well on with each others although Kiia and Piitu had some "semi-serious" quarrel. They stayed with us until Thursday morning. After their visit we looked after Neo for a couple of days. This afternoon we took a walk with Sinna and Lilli. Long time no seen. A little bit later we paid a visit to Jassu and her dogs. Tomorrow we should take a walk with Jimmy and Jolly and have a tracking training with Birgitta and her dogs. It's so great to have so many friends. Everything is funnier in good company.

29.6.2008

What a beautiful day we had today! We were at dog show (only for border collies and australian kelpies) in Lappeenranta. There were over 80 border collies and 35 australian kelpies. Kiia got an excellent and was 4th of junior bitches. Her brother, Blacky was more successful and won his class. But what did their mother? ;-) She was Best in Show and got also "The most beautiful head"-title. She did a good job. Thank you so much, Nancy! You were  amazingly beautiful today! You definitely amaze me!

10.6.2008

Wonderful Piitu and Meeri won a 1st prize in obedience test in Vaasa today. They compete  in Open Class. They got 185 points out of 200 points. Congratulations! You are absolutely fabulous ;-)

Today happened something that has never happened before. I participated with Nancy to an unofficial agility competition and we managed to get a result from both courses. In the first course Nancy was even the quickest dog.  Does it mean that I was the quickest person? I might doubt. This helped me to get more confidence to participate in official agility competition this summer.

8.6.2008

Today Piitu was at dog show in Tuuri for her first time and got right away reserved Certificate and was 4th of bitches. Also Blacky had a successful day in Tuuri today. He was 4th of dogs and got too a reserved Certificate! We are so proud of you! Congratulations to beautiful Piitu and to gorgeous Blacky!! Congratulations also to Meeri and Susku!

7.6.2008

It wasn't our day today at dog show in Pieksämäki. Kiia got VERY GOOD and was 4th of junior bitches. Kiia behaved and carried her tail nicely.  Väinö and Rino though saved our day: they found Kiia the best bitch of the dog show... Her season hadn't anything to do with it ;-)

3.6.2008

What a wonderful day we had yesterday with Väinö, Rino and Kiia. We were in Vehmersalmi to test our dogs' herding instinct and Kiia showed it well. She was such a brave girl and tried to get in balance but because she is not yet enough independent, she lost her confidence and came back to me. So we worked together with Kiia and herded sheep for our trainer. I'm looking so much for our next time on sheep. Thank you so much, Sinikka, for this experience and good advices!

28.5.2008

Today Meeri and Piitu were at their first obedience test and got right away first prize with excellent 177,5 points out of 200 points! We are so proud of you two! Congratulations!

Kiia is finally having her season. She wants more to be caressed and might be a little bit more or jsut  tired but otherwise her behavior is quite normal.

24.5.2008

We have been having a busy week. Kiia's agility course started last Tuesday and she seemed to be quite excited about doing it. Wednesday we were training for show presentation and after that we were doing some obedience together with three lovely border collie boys, called Neo (Valentinon King of Hearts), Väinö and Rino. Thursday we were training agility with Nancy this time. The first round went just fine but the second one not so well... She got too excited and that moment I was too bored of working with her.  Shame on me! Friday we were doing again obedience and today we were in dog show in Kangasniemi. Kiia got an excellent judging and she was 2nd best of bitches and got a reserved certificate.

16.5.2008

During Nancy's season we have been doing a lot of track training. She is progressing well into finding objects. Now she knows look after an object even if she hasn't seen me leaving anything behind.  She has also learnt to run forward at least 10 meters. With Kiia I have done tracking once or twice a week. Sometimes she tries to advance too fast but keeps still her way of working calm. Speaking of being calm, we passed the test for agility course and got a place. Aren't we good? Soon we are going to see what she thinks about agility...

6.5.2008

Yesterday we had a wonderful training day. For the first time, I tried "object square" with Nancy. This so called object square means a square with 50 meter long sides in a forest. In a tracking trial, there are hidden three different objects like socks, wallets, or gloves in the square. In the beginner's class dog must find at least one of the objects. We made our exercise with an area of 50x5 meters. Nancy was doing pretty nice work. She found her ball twice and pointed out my glove but did not understand to bring it to me without extra help. I was so happy to notice that it would not be so hard to teach this to her.

On Sunday evening, my friend Hanna took some photos of Kiia with her BOB trophies. I try to put rest of the photos to my gallery as soon as possible.

4.5.2008

Being to lazy, I have decided not to translate all the previous news I have written in Finnish but I try to be a good girl and  to write news also in English from now on. Today we had a wonderful day. Kiia was Best of Breed  in Viitasaari and her brother, Blacky, was Best of Opposite Sex in Parikkala.

As Nancy is having her season now, we had to cancel our obedience trial in Kangasniemi and agility competition of 11th May in Jyväskylä. That's a  little be annoying but now we have more time to do some tracking. Nancy works as she has always worked - not so precisely but enough carefully. Kiia instead gave me a big surprise by tracking calmly and precisely. I hope she will keep on working like that.
